Yidu Cloud and Tencent Doctor Deepen Collaboration to Enhance Resident Health Management

Following the 2019 launch of “People’s Medical Classics,” an authoritative health science popularization think tank jointly established by People’s Daily Online, Tencent, and Yidu Cloud, Yidu Cloud Group will continue to deepen its collaboration with Tencent Medical Classics to help improve residents’ health management capabilities.

“People’s Medical Encyclopedia” is guided by the authoritative expertise of People’s Daily Online and supported by its omni-media channels. Built upon Tencent Yi Dian, Tencent’s professional medical science popularization platform, and leveraging Yidu Cloud’s big data and artificial intelligence technologies, it presents professional medical knowledge from physicians in an accessible format for users. By precisely matching user needs through big data and AI across the entire healthcare continuum—including prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation—it fully harnesses the positive impact of “Internet + Healthcare.” Underpinned by comprehensive, systematic, and in-depth educational content, it provides the general public with a sustainable, trustworthy, and understandable knowledge repository for health information.

Yidu Cloud’s specialized chronic disease health management platform, Yinshu Health, and Tencent Medical Dictionary will build on their 2019 collaboration to continue and deepen their strategic commitment to resident health management.

This strategic partnership leverages Yinshu Health’s products and services as its foundation, combining Tencent Medical Dictionary’s professional strengths in popular science information and user reach with Yinshu Health’s accumulated physician resources and product operation experience in chronic disease management. Together, the parties will engage in in-depth collaboration in areas such as disease risk prevention, formulation of health management plans, and long-term management of patients with chronic diseases.

The elderly population is highly susceptible to chronic diseases. According to data released by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, more than two-thirds of individuals aged 60 and above in China are affected by one or multiple chronic conditions, with a higher prevalence in urban areas than in rural ones. As population aging intensifies in China, the large number of potential chronic disease patients will drive an increasing demand for chronic disease health management.

Health issues among the Chinese population have been elevated to the level of national strategy. In 2016, the State Council issued the Outline of the “Healthy China 2030” Plan, which prominently proposes the implementation of a comprehensive prevention and control strategy for chronic diseases, aiming to achieve health management for chronic diseases across the entire population and throughout the life course by 2030.
