Fourier Intelligence, a leader in China’s intelligent rehabilitation industry, has recently completed a C+ funding round worth tens of millions of yuan, with the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Industry Investment Fund as the investor. It is reported that the funds will be used for new product development, accelerating the enhancement of its core rehabilitation robot product portfolio, integrating upstream and downstream platforms across the industrial chain, and promoting the establishment of a comprehensive rehabilitation ecosystem.

Fourier Intelligence, with the vision of “making rehabilitation accessible to all through intelligent technology,” has built the “Intelligent Rehabilitation Port,” a modern rehabilitation center centered on intelligent robots. It features rehabilitation robots that are globally leading in technology, complementary in function, and interconnected in data, achieving therapeutic outcomes characterized by multi-robot collaboration, minimal staffing requirements, and significantly improved efficiency, thereby forming a highly competitive comprehensive intelligent rehabilitation solution.

Meanwhile, Fourier Intelligence is actively facilitating the rapid nationwide implementation of the three-tier rehabilitation network, establishing a closed-loop ecosystem across products, data, medical institutions, and users, thereby gradually transforming from a product R&D-focused enterprise into an industry-driving platform company.

Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Industry Investment Fund (hereinafter referred to as the “AI Fund”) is a municipal-level artificial intelligence industry fund approved by the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government. It was jointly initiated and established by Shanghai Guosheng Group and Lingang Group, and is supported by financial resources from both municipal and district-level governments, large state-owned industrial groups, and social capital including financial institutions. The AI Fund focuses on core AI technologies and key applications, striving to build a “one-stop” platform that facilitates the connectivity, matchmaking, and integration of various elements driving the development of Shanghai’s AI industry. By constructing an industrial chain and ecosystem that closely combine internationally leading technologies with extensive local applications, the fund aims to support the establishment of Shanghai as a premier hub for AI development.

Wu Wei, General Manager of the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Industry Investment Fund, stated, “The current rehabilitation sector faces a shortage of professional medical personnel and advanced medical devices. Intelligent rehabilitation robots can assist doctors and therapists in providing safe and effective human-machine interaction training for patients, significantly reducing therapists’ workload through efficient solutions. The AI Fund will partner with Fourier to usher in the era of Intelligent Rehabilitation 2.0.”

Headquartered in Shanghai, Fourier Intelligence has established branches in Singapore, Malaysia, Guangzhou, and Zhuhai. In the field of rehabilitation robotics research, Fourier Intelligence has entered the global forefront, establishing joint laboratories with the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab (ranked No. 1 in the United States), the University of Melbourne in Australia, and ETH Zurich. Additionally, it has signed strategic cooperation agreements with the KITE Research Institute at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute in Canada, the National University of Singapore, and Kobe University in Japan to jointly conduct translational research on rehabilitation robots and assistive technologies.

Currently, rehabilitation robotics products developed by Fourier Intelligence have been deployed in over 30 countries and more than 1,000 institutions worldwide, including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and elderly care facilities. With over 400 million training sessions conducted, the company is leading the development and advancement of the global rehabilitation industry through its strategic global layout.
