Recently, the China (Nanchang) Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Innovation City signed a framework agreement with Jiangxi Guoyi Digital Health Industry Co., Ltd. The two parties will jointly build and promote the implementation of the nation’s first “Digital TCM Health Community” in the Ganjiang New Area. By leveraging digital innovation tools such as internet hospitals and smart TCM pharmacies, they aim to provide tens of thousands of residents in the Innovation City with more convenient, affordable, and scientifically grounded digital TCM services, thereby establishing the Ganjiang New Area as a window to showcase and promote China’s distinctive health service model to the world.
On that day, Xiao Yuwen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Administrative Committee of Ganjiang New Area, as well as Secretary of the Party Committee of the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Science and Technology Innovation City; Ying Jiong, Member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of Ganjiang New Area, as well as Director of the Administrative Committee of the TCM Science and Technology Innovation City; Peng Tao, Executive Director of WeDoctor Investment; and Tao Yueping, Vice Chairman of Guoyi Shujian and General Manager of Nanhua Pharmaceutical, attended the signing ceremony.

“The Digital TCM Health Community” is a digital-driven, health-centered health community featuring traditional Chinese medicine services, established by buildingGuided by the theories of traditional Chinese medicine, digital technology andA Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Service Platform Based on the “Internet Plus” Model, Integrating Modern Health Management Concepts and Blending Online with Offline Services, conducted in Ganjiang New AreaPersonalized, convenient, shared, and precise,SmartTCM Health Services,PromoteResidentHealth, and advance the supply-side structural reform of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) to promote its inheritance and development.
It is understood that the project will advance digital initiatives, including an internet hospital, a smart traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) pharmacy, a chronic disease management center, a chronic disease medical consortium, a smart TCM platform, an intelligent medical insurance supervision platform, and a digital TCM exhibition and experience center. These efforts aim to establish a seamless, end-to-end service loop integrating “in-hospital and out-of-hospital” as well as “online and offline” care. Upon completion, tens of thousands of urban and rural residents in the Science and Technology Innovation City are expected to benefit from convenient services such as online follow-up consultations, medication purchases, online medical insurance payments, decoction services for TCM herbs, and home delivery of medications.
As the second national-level new area in central China and the 18th in the country, Ganjiang New Area is fully advancing the development of the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Science and Technology Innovation City, positioning it as a “special zone” within the new area. Under the “dual-core drive, coordinated development” model, the TCM Science and Technology Innovation City is strengthening innovation-driven growth. By leveraging the construction of a digital TCM health consortium, it aims to further stimulate the development of the TCM industry and cultivate Jiangxi’s digital health unicorns.
It is reported that Jiangxi Guoyi Digital Health Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Guoyi Shujian”) was jointly initiated and prepared by the Administrative Committee of Ganjiang New Area, the Jiangxi Science and Technology Innovation Fund Management Team, and other parties, and was newly established as a mixed-ownership enterprise by WeDoctor Group and Nanhua Pharmaceutical. This initiative aims to harness TCM’s strengths in preventive care (“treating potential diseases”) and chronic disease management, thereby improving residents’ health outcomes and promoting the inheritance, innovation, and development of TCM.
