Medical Aesthetics Product Research Company
From ancient times to the present, “beauty” has been one of humanity’s fundamental concepts. Throughout the global community, regardless of gender or age, the desire to “become more beautiful” remains a core aspiration in the human psyche. With advances in science and medicine, medical aesthetics has become a key means of achieving this goal. Within this field, “augmentation” and “reduction” constitute two basic approaches.
“Augmentation” refers to the implantation and filling of certain body parts; “reduction” refers to the diminution of certain body parts through excision and injection. In the field of “reduction,” the term “injection” is most commonly understood as “botulinum toxin injection.”
Botulinum toxin is a toxin secreted by Clostridium botulinum. This toxin is extremely potent, and it is no exaggeration to describe it as the most powerful toxin in the world. Consequently, few companies worldwide are capable of commercializing this toxin, and even obtaining Clostridium botulinum strains is challenging.Currently, the only domestically produced botulinum toxin product officially approved in China is Lanzhou Hengli.
South Korea, a global powerhouse in medical aesthetics, has seen numerous botulinum toxin manufacturers eager to enter the Chinese supermarket. However, to date, only Hugel’s “Letybo” has successfully and formally entered the Chinese market. Other South Korean botulinum toxin companies, including Medytox, Daewoong Pharmaceutical, INIBIO, Jetema, and Huons, are poised to launch their product strategies in China.
It is understood that Medytox and Daewoong Pharmaceutical use the Hall A strain, while Huons and Jetema use the ATCC 3502 strain (UK PHE: NCTC13319), which is also used in Merz’s Xeomin (Germany) and Ipsen’s Dysport (UK). INIBIO’s botulinum toxin product, INIBO, uses a different strain from those of other companies—according to industry sources,The strain used by INIBO (Yinibao, also known as "Yu Du") is ATCC 19397, making its global debut.
Currently, INIBIO has completed Phase I and Phase II clinical trials in South Korea, obtained export licensing for its product, and secured Investigational New Drug (IND) approval for Phase III clinical trials.INIBIO has garnered widespread industry attention due to its 100% purity and quality assured through the QbD system.
