On March 31, Miaojiankang’s “One Store Opens, One City Becomes Healthier” press conference was held as scheduled in Xingtai City, Hebei Province. This event not only marked the grand opening of the Canada Health Management Center’s Xingtai branch (hereinafter referred to as the “Xingtai Branch”), but also served as the launch ceremony for the “Healthy China, Healthy ‘Xing’ Action” initiative jointly launched by Miaojiankang and the Canada Health Management Center in Xingtai. As the Brand Health Ambassador for Miao Health, Wu Minxia, a five-time Olympic gold medalist and “Diving Queen,” also participated in the launch ceremony and experienced the health service procedures at the Xingtai Health Management Center. She expressed her hope that an increasing number of Chinese people will adopt scientific and effective methods to manage their health, improve their well-being, stay free from disease, and safeguard a better life with good health.

Healthy China, Healthy “Xing” Action

In November 2018, at the China International Import Expo in Shanghai, Miao Health, the Canadian Health Management Center, and the Xingtai Municipal Government reached a comprehensive cooperation agreement on the “Digital Health Xingtai 2030” City Headquarters Project, effectively advancing the establishment of a new-generation digital health management system in Xingtai. This system’s service network covers urban areas, townships, towns, and villages, providing internationally aligned health management services to approximately 7.4 million residents of Xingtai.

The Xingtai store integrates chronic disease management, rehabilitation intervention, scientific exercise, and new retail health products. As the urban headquarters of the Digital Health Management Center, it has fully launched the new Health Management 2.0 model, leveraging digitalization to achieve deep integration of “online + offline” and “AI + human” services, thereby enhancing the efficiency of health managers and user adherence.

Effective immediately, residents of Xingtai City can visit our stores to receive professional early disease screening and health risk assessment services. A dedicated health management team, comprising health managers, psychologists, and nutritionists, will provide tailored “multi-to-one” health services and develop personalized health management plans for each user. After leaving the store, users can check their Comprehensive Health Score (H-value) and Health Behavior Index (M-value) via mobile platforms, enabling them to track their progress and effectively improve their health status.

In addition, the Xingtai store has partnered with the Canadian Center for Chronic Disease Research to specifically recruit individuals with hypertension, diabetes, and overweight conditions, providing them with trackable health improvement plans. The broader significance lies in collecting more samples with regional demographic characteristics, leveraging big data analytics to develop urban healthy lifestyle guidelines, and helping a wider population mitigate disease risks.

From One City to a Hundred

At the press conference, Ding Xin, the city head of the project, stated that the launch of the Xingtai store marks the beginning of the “Digital Health Xingtai 2030” initiative, with the ultimate goal of achieving “A Healthy City.” Moving forward, Miao Health will collaborate closely with insurance companies, enterprises, government agencies, and medical institutions to comprehensively improve the healthcare security system, break down information silos, achieve interconnectivity, and enable intelligent distribution of healthcare resources.

Ding Xin also introduced the Xingtai store’s dual health protection model of “insurance + health management.” This approach extends from individual health management services to integrate with commercial health insurance, addressing the coverage gaps in basic resident medical insurance. It enables more residents to benefit from supplementary medical insurance, assists the government in enhancing the overall pooling level and risk resilience of regional medical insurance, and serves as a regional demonstration for medical insurance cost containment.

[Healthy China, Healthy “Xing” Action] This is not mere rhetoric; it requires collaborative efforts from the government, society, enterprises, and individuals. In the future, the Xingtai branch of the Canada Health Management Center will explore more cross-sector collaboration models and develop standardized solutions for nationwide promotion across China. Expanding from a single city to multiple cities, we aim to fulfill our mission of “Establishing one center, benefiting the health of an entire city,” and continue to contribute to the building of a Healthy China.
