Artificial Intelligence Product Developer
On April 1, 2021, the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) officially approved Infervision Medical Technology Co., Ltd.’s (hereinafter referred to as “Infervision”) “CT Imaging Auxiliary Triage and Assessment Software for Pneumonia” for Class III medical device certification. This marks not only one of the first Class III AI certifications for pneumonia approved by China’s NMPA, but also the second NMPA Class III certification granted to Infervision within just four months. With this approval, Infervision has now secured market access for its pneumonia-related products in three major markets: the European Union (CE marking), Japan (PMDA approval), and China (NMPA approval).

On the same day, Infervision’s European branch also announced good news: the European Union government decided to centrally procure Infervision’s AI solution for COVID-19 for the second time. During this critical period when the epidemic remains severe in Europe, the EU’s firm decision to purchase an artificial intelligence solution from China is not only an endorsement of Infervision but also a recognition of Chinese technology.

Making History Again!
Leveraging Technology to Combat the Pandemic: Demonstrating the Strength of China’s AI Capabilities
In January 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic suddenly erupted. In the face of the outbreak,Infervision immediately initiated the R&D of AI products targeting the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, Infervision launched a bidirectional mechanism for joint R&D and clinical validation with hospitals including Tongji Hospital affiliated to Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University, Shenzhen Third People’s Hospital (National Clinical Research Center for Infectious Diseases), and Beijing Haidian Hospital, upgrading and developing AI solutions for COVID-19 in response to clinical needs. On January 29, the first prototype system was launched at Tongji Hospital in Wuhan. Infervision’s intelligent auxiliary screening and epidemic monitoring system for pneumonia can rapidly assist doctors, hospitals, and government agencies in diagnosing COVID-19, conducting quantitative assessments, and monitoring the epidemic. During the fight against the pandemic, it has made positive contributions in various areas, including epidemic prevention and control and disease diagnosis.
