“Eidos” Seminar Series
Eidos is a series of sharing events launched by Walden China for entrepreneurs in the healthcare industry. We aim to help, disseminate knowledge to, and empower more healthcare entrepreneurs by building this platform. Eidos is a Greek term that translates to “Idea” or “Form,” a core concept in Platonic philosophy. Plato used Eidos to refer to the core and essence underlying all things in the world, transcending the ever-changing world of appearances. We use this term as a metaphor for the timeless commonalities behind entrepreneurial success. Meanwhile, the Platonic Academy, founded by Plato in 385 BC, served as the prototype for all modern universities. There, students sat on the ground, engaging in philosophical discourse with their teacher—a setting that aligns well with the communicative, inspirational, and interactive nature of our sharing events.
