It is reported that the extraction of basic data for this list of Highly Cited Chinese Researchers employed Elsevier’s latest mapping method based on the first-level discipline classification of the Ministry of Education of China. This approach ensures that data on Chinese scholars’ disciplinary affiliations and performance align more closely with China’s disciplinary structure. The selection of highly cited Chinese researchers is based purely on paper impact, using objective and uniform criteria. This facilitates a multifaceted perspective on academic talent and holds significant reference value. The selection criterion requires that a researcher’s total citation count for papers published as first author or corresponding author ranks among the top level within their discipline across all Chinese researchers. In the annual ShanghaiRanking’s Best Chinese Universities and Subjects rankings, highly cited scholars serve as an important scoring indicator (i.e., internationally renowned scholars). Professor Luo Jingjin has published 143 SCI-indexed papers as corresponding author, with a cumulative Impact Factor (IF) of 491.316; among these, 23 papers have an IF > 5, and the highest single-paper IF is 13.251 (Journal of Clinical Investigation). He has presided over 16 major scientific research projects, including those under the National Key R&D Program, Key Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Key International Cooperation Projects, the 973 Program, the 863 Program, and Key Projects of the People's Liberation Army.

Professor Luo Zhuojing, with nearly 40 years of clinical experience, has consistently remained at the forefront of scientific research, driving the continuous development of orthopedics in China through innovative technologies. His inclusion on the list of “Highly Cited Researchers” also signifies that, under his exemplary leadership, Xijing Hospital of Orthopedics at Air Force Medical University wields significant influence in the field of clinical medicine.
