Yichao Medical and MiaoShou Surgical Robot Demonstrate Precision in Remote Surgery at Boao Forum
On the afternoon of June 1, at the Boao Forum for Asia Global Health Forum, Yichao Medical’s ultrasonic energy surgical system, in conjunction with Shandong Weigao Group’s “Miaoshou” surgical robot, successfully performed a remote nephrectomy on a pig located 300 kilometers away.
This is not the first time Yichao Medical has collaborated with the “Miaoshou” surgical robot. Two years ago, the two parties successfully partnered to perform the world’s first 5G-enabled remote surgery, smoothly removing the kidney, gallbladder, and bladder from a live animal located more than 2,000 kilometers away. Subsequently, Yichao Medical collaborated with another domestic surgical robot manufacturer to complete China’s first multi-point, collaborative, 5G-enabled remote multidisciplinary surgical experiment. Currently, Yichao Medical is exploring in-depth cooperation with domestic surgical robot companies.

Leveraging mobile 5G technology, Dr. Niu conducted a nephrectomy on a pig located in an operating room at a hospital in Weihai, 300 kilometers away.
