June 21, Beijing – New Horizon Health announced its sales performance for the 618 direct-to-consumer e-commerce campaign: From 00:00 on June 1 to 24:00 on June 18, 2021, based on data from JD Business Intelligence and Shengyi Canmou, Changweiqing®Cumulative sales have surpassed 5,000 units.

 

According to JD Health’s 618 sales report, New Horizon Health’s JD flagship store secured the double championship in both category-wide sales and single-product sales within the genetic testing segment on JD.com during the 618 shopping festival, as well as the top spot on the Consumer Healthcare Rankings for June 18.

 

“Cancer prevention education continues to be a trending topic on mainstream platforms such as Kuaishou and Douyin. The growth in sales of Changweiqing during this year’s 618 Shopping Festival clearly demonstrates that home-based early cancer screening has rapidly gained acceptance among high-risk populations in first-tier cities,” stated Zhu Yeqing, Executive Director and CEO of New Horizon Health. “Health consumer products based on genetic testing emerged on e-commerce platforms during this year’s 618 Shopping Festival. Although their market size remains small, they are growing rapidly and are poised to become a new driver for the upgrading of health consumption.”

 

Starting June 15, New Horizon Health partnered for the first time with Kuaishou Health and Xiaohe Health to launch the hashtag campaign #ColorectalHealthCancerPreventionEarlyScreening#, mobilizing nearly 200 physicians and science communicators on their platforms to promote awareness of colorectal cancer prevention and control, enhance health risk awareness among high-risk populations, and advocate for scientifically standardized early screening methods in accordance with clinical guidelines. The related hashtag #CancerPreventionEarlyScreeningOnKuaishou# accumulated 41.677 million views within its first week of launch.

 

On November 9, 2020, New Horizon Health’s ColoClear® received the Class III medical device registration certificate from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), securing China’s first and, to date, only approval for early cancer screening. Subsequently, New Horizon Health launched flagship stores on both JD Health and Tmall. Analysis of cumulative e-commerce order data reveals that ColoClear® users exhibit the following characteristics:

 

● Users in Beijing, Guangdong, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, and Shandong ranked highest in purchases, accounting for over 60% of total orders;

● The primary age group of purchasing users is 26-45 years old, accounting for nearly 80% of the total number of buyers;

The primary age range of the examined population is 40-59 years, accounting for over 70% of the total number of individuals tested;

Among the examinees, males aged 40–49 were the most numerous, while females aged 50–59 were the most numerous. Males tended to engage in screening at an earlier age than females, and the male-to-female ratio remained approximately 1.4:1.

Follow-up survey feedback from examinees indicates that over 90% of users have a habit of undergoing health checkups;

The positive rate among the examinees was 9.3%.
