July 8 is World Allergy Day. In response to the National Health Commission’s “Healthy China – Mothers’ Action” initiative, Huashan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University (hereinafter referred to as “Huashan Hospital”) partnered with Haodf.com to host a free live-streamed public welfare clinic.

From July 8 to 9, Professor Lin Lin, Professor Liu Jie, and Professor Luo Xiaoqun—three leading experts from the Department of Allergy (Allergy and Immunology) at Huashan Hospital—will host a free Q&A session in the “Free Clinic Live Room” on the Haodf Online APP. They will address topics including allergic rhinitis, gut microbiota in relation to allergy and immunological disorders, and atopic dermatitis. Patients are welcome to submit their questions.

The Department of Allergy and Immunology at Huashan Hospital officially commenced operations in early 2021. As a significant emerging force in the field of allergology in China, its establishment has been recognized by the Chinese Medical Association and the Allergy Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, which have placed high expectations on it. The department adopts a novel clinical model, delivering medical services through an integrated approach that views patients as holistic entities rather than as collections of discrete organs. Aiming to become an internationally renowned and domestically leading allergy center, the Department of Allergy and Immunology at Huashan Hospital is dedicated to serving patients with various allergic conditions. It facilitates multidisciplinary collaborative diagnosis and treatment of allergy-related diseases, enabling one-stop comprehensive clinical management and prevention for allergy sufferers.

This live-streamed free clinic event is a key component of the “Healthy China: Mothers’ Action” initiative. “Healthy China: Mothers’ Action” is a major public welfare campaign jointly launched by the All-China Women’s Federation, the National Health Commission, and the General Administration of Sport of China. As an invited partner organization, Haodf Online is responsible for organizing and implementing the specialized online free clinics. To date, Haodf Online has collaborated with nearly 30 large public tertiary Grade A hospitals across China to conduct 13 themed free clinic campaigns; this event marks the 14th edition, themed around “World Allergy Day.”

The series of themed free clinics under the “Healthy China, Mothers’ Action” initiative bridges authoritative public hospitals such as Huashan Hospital with third-party internet healthcare platforms. By leveraging the internet, high-quality expert medical services are delivered continuously and efficiently to patients across China, effectively addressing the difficulty of accessing medical care for the general public and contributing to the Healthy China strategy.
