RNA Accelerator Launches 2021 Global Recruitment for RNA Bio-Medical Startup Bootcamp

In July 2021, the “RNA Accelerator” officially launched its first round of recruitment for the 2021 RNA Biomedical Startup Accelerator Program.

RNA AcceleratorRNA Accelerator provides seed funding, laboratory and office space, and business mentoring to early-stage biomedical startups. It has facilities in San Francisco, USA, and in Shanghai and Xiaoshan, Hangzhou, China. Founded by a team of experienced biomedical investors, entrepreneurs, and physician-scientists, RNA Accelerator is dedicated to supporting startups that offer innovative technologies and solutions in the healthcare or life sciences sectors. Much like the function of RNA (ribonucleic acid), RNA Accelerator serves both as a carrier of information and resources and as a catalyst for accelerating innovation and growth.

The RNA Accelerator comprises a seed fund, an entrepreneurship acceleration program, incubation space and services, and the RNA community.

Startups selected for the RNA Accelerator can receive support from the RNA Seed Fund to achieve growth from zero to one.We primarily seek teams dedicated to addressing existing challenges and driven by strong internal motivation. We are particularly interested in startups that leverage innovative technologies to solve critical problems in life sciences and healthcare. These startups include, but are not limited to, those in the fields of biopharmaceuticals, innovative diagnostics, medical devices, AI-driven drug discovery, digital therapeutics and diagnostics, clinical trial technologies, and healthcare services.

We offer a tailored 6-8 week startup accelerator program for early-stage companies, helping entrepreneurs rapidly master the fundamentals of launching ventures in the healthcare industry within a short timeframe.Our founding and advisory teams are composed of renowned experts in the healthcare and life sciences sectors. Here, we not only help startup teams connect with investors and strategic partners, but also teach them how to communicate effectively with investors and how to build and maintain long-term strategic partnerships.

We have co-working spaces in San Francisco, USA, and in Shanghai and Hangzhou Xiaoshan, China.We will also work closely with entrepreneurial teams to identify their needs and provide various resources to meet them. For example, we can help startups find their first employees, handle intellectual property and other legal issues, and assist with the launch process and paperwork as needed.

Teams selected for the accelerator can benefit long-term from the RNA community network.The RNA community comprises not only entrepreneurs selected for the RNA Accelerator but also prominent investors, serial entrepreneurs, executives from Fortune 500 biopharmaceutical companies, and scientists from universities and research institutions worldwide. Seizing this opportunity, the 2021 RNA Biomedical Startup Accelerator (hereinafter referred to as the “RNA Accelerator”) has officially launched its global call for project applications.Co-hosted by Yuhang Capital, RNA Accelerator, the (preparatory) CITRIS (China) Research Institute, and VCBeat, this program is an accelerator initiative primarily focused on fostering startups and entrepreneurial teams in the biomedicine and broader healthcare sectors. It conducts annual global recruitment of entrepreneurial projects and provides selected teams with resources and services—including seed funding, business and technical mentorship, customized entrepreneurship courses, investment and financing matchmaking, incubation space and services, and an alumni network—to accelerate their growth. Projects officially accepted into the accelerator and successfully completing the eight-week curriculum will receive investment from RNA Accelerator.
