Viral Strain Mutation, Pandemic Strikes Again

The new wave of the epidemic, driven by the highly contagious Delta variant with its high viral load and rapid transmission, has struck with formidable force. Nanjing reported the source of the outbreak for the first time, and within just 16 days, the virus had spread to more than 20 cities across 10 provinces. Since July 20, the number of new locally transmitted confirmed cases in China has surged to 791, with 464 cases in Jiangsu Province. The sudden nightmare that unfolded in early 2020 seems to be repeating itself.

"Acting upon orders, uniting with one heart."

At a critical juncture in the spread of the epidemic and pandemic prevention and control in Jiangsu, in order to reduce the risk of transmission caused by doctor-patient contact and solve the problem of difficult registration and medical treatment for patients with chronic diseases during the epidemic, Zhiyun Health, together with the China Medical Education Association, once again issued the "assembly call" for online free clinics, quickly assembling doctors and experts from public hospitals in Jiangsu Province to open an online anti-epidemic zone. Patients with chronic diseases only need to scan the code to enjoy the service of "3-minute response to patient one-on-one free consultation".

At this critical juncture, the typically decentralized regions of Jiangsu Province immediately united as one. Countless individuals rushed to the front lines in successive waves, with doctors from Nanjing, Yangzhou, Nantong, Suzhou, Changzhou, Taizhou, Wuxi, Xuzhou, and other areas stepping forward: offline, they donned white coats as armor to support isolation wards; online, they provided free consultations for chronic disease patients unable to seek timely medical care...

“Whenever the fight against the epidemic demands it, I am on call.” Thus spoke a healthcare worker who rallied to the Zhiyun Health online consultation platform, determined to safeguard their city through action.

We hereby extend our gratitude to the physicians who participated in this online free clinic, and to all healthcare workers who have consistently contributed to the fight against the epidemic!
