Santosh Shanbhag, CFO of Akili Interactive

Santosh Shanbhag is the Chief Financial Officer of Akili, overseeing finance, corporate and business development, and company operations. The company secured the first-ever FDA approval for a video game therapy designed to treat attention deficits in children. He brings 20 years of experience leading financial operations for U.S. and international organizations and executing complex business plans for transformative healthcare companies. Prior to joining Akili, Mr. Shanbhag held senior finance leadership roles at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, most recently serving as Vice President and Head of International Finance and Accounting, where he helped build the international business and secure reimbursement for new drugs in key global markets. Before joining Vertex, Mr. Shanbhag held progressively responsible positions at Capgemini Consulting and Texas Instruments. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Management and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the MIT Sloan School of Management, as well as a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Yue Leng, Assistant Professor at UCSF

Assistant Professor at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and Senior Fellow at the Global Brain Health Institute, Atlantic Fellows. Her research focuses on the relationship between sleep and brain aging, including Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. She holds master’s and doctoral degrees in epidemiology from the University of Cambridge. She has received awards from the National Institutes of Health, the Alzheimer’s Association, Alzheimer’s Research UK, and the Atlantic Institute. Her work has been featured extensively in mainstream media outlets, including the BBC, CNN, Reuters, and The Times.

Justin Leong: President of Asia & Latin America at Resmed

ResMed is the world’s largest publicly traded company in the sleep sector. Justin Leong was appointed President of ResMed’s Asia and Latin America markets in June 2020, building on his previous roles as President of ResMed’s Asia Growth Markets since September 2018 and Senior Vice President for the region since May 2016. He also serves as a director on the boards of various ResMed subsidiaries. Justin joined ResMed in 2013 as Vice President of Global Strategy and assumed the role of General Manager for Greater China in 2015. Prior to joining ResMed, Justin served as a Director at the London-based investment firm HgCapital from 2006 to 2012, where he was responsible for acquisitions and portfolio management and sat on the boards of several European healthcare companies. From 1999 to 2004, he worked as a management consultant at Bain & Company in Sydney, Boston, and New York, advising clients on growth strategies, operational improvement initiatives, and mergers and acquisitions. Justin holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, as well as an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Kyloon Chuah, CEO & Co-Founder of Veriteos

Kyloon Chuah is the Co-founder and CEO of Veriteos, focusing on empowering digital therapeutics builders to drive better patient treatments. He previously served as the Head of Software Engineering at Elemental Machines, an enterprise-grade IoT data platform currently used by leading pharmaceutical companies. Prior to that, he founded Valar Lab, an Australian startup that built a robotic laboratory automation platform to facilitate point-of-care clinical diagnostic testing for patients. He holds a Ph.D. in Biosensors and a Bachelor of Science from the University of New South Wales.
