Recently, Artechmed, a portfolio company of Mountain Blue Capital, successfully led the completion of the first green cryoablation surgery at the Second Hospital of Tianjin Medical University. The full-chain "Made in China" cardiac cryoablation system, three-dimensional dielectric mapping system, and intracardiac ultrasound system worked together on the same platform, marking a milestone leap under the concept of green electrophysiology. This achievement demonstrates that domestically produced high-end medical equipment in China has evolved from individual devices to comprehensive, autonomous diagnostic and treatment solutions.

This surgery was performed by the Second Hospital of Tianjin Medical UniversityProfessor Xu GangPerformed by the chief surgeon with the full support of the cardiology team. The surgery was conducted under local anesthesia, lasting approximately one hour, with minimal perfusion fluid and no discomfort reported by the patient. It effectively addressed challenges such as long operation times for elderly patients, excessive perfusion volume, and ablation displacement caused by intraoperative pain. Additionally, the total fluoroscopy time was reduced by over 90% compared to traditional methods, achieving the goal of near-zero radiation green treatment. The surgery proceeded smoothly with precise ablation targets and no adverse events, validating the high safety, precision, and strong clinical practicality of this fully China-produced green cryoablation solution. Meanwhile, a replicable and easily promotable standardized operational protocol was established, laying the clinical foundation for subsequent nationwide expansion.

This surgery achieved precise modeling of the cardiac anatomical structure, real-time optimization of the catheter operation path, and visual assessment of cryoballoon pulmonary vein occlusion through the collaboration of the cryoablation system, 3D mapping system, and ICE system.

The immediate surgical outcome was ideal, with the patient's heart rhythm maintained in sinus rhythm postoperatively, and the patient reported feeling well.

Green electrophysiology, with the core goals of "less radiation, optimized processes, and higher safety," has become a new trend in the global electrophysiology field. Cryoablation is currently a first-line minimally invasive interventional treatment for atrial fibrillation in China, and traditional methods rely heavily on X-ray fluoroscopy. However, for a long time, green cryoablation solutions have largely depended on fully imported equipment, leading to high procurement and treatment costs as well as posing a "bottleneck" risk. Previously, domestically produced equipment only achieved breakthroughs in single-point clinical use and was unable to complete the underlying adaptation and procedural coordination of "cryoablation therapy + 3D dielectric navigation + intracardiac ultrasound imaging," making it difficult to implement a standardized green solution in clinical practice.

Cryoablation itself has inherent advantages such as standardized operation, no need for general anesthesia during surgery, and a short learning curve, perfectly matching the clinical promotion needs of green treatment. It also provides a solid foundation for the implementation of an all-in-one, fully China-produced solution. The successful implementation of this fully China-produced solution has completely broken the long-term monopoly of imported equipment in the field of green cryoablation. Meanwhile, the product is reliable in quality, affordable in price, and smooth in supply, making it easier to promote and popularize in various atrial fibrillation centers across China, benefiting Chinese patients.

Artechmed always takes clinical real needs as the core orientation, continuously focusing on the simplified treatment of atrial fibrillation. It keeps iterating and optimizing the ArtCryo™ Cardiac Cryoablation System and its accompanying diagnosis and treatment solutions. Collaborating with top clinical expert teams across China, Artechmed consistently promotes the clinical research and large-scale adoption of green electrophysiology technology, while breaking through barriers alongside high-end medical devices produced in China, shining brightly.VastThe domestic and international medical stage.
