Following proactive communication with the relevant authorities and the exhibition venue, and based on a comprehensive assessment of the current epidemic situation as well as the circumstances of exhibitors, visitors, and other stakeholders, Medical Fair China 2021 has confirmed a new schedule. The exhibition will be held from November 13 to 15 at the Suzhou International Expo Center. Concurrently, the event will host the Global Digital Health Week (GDW), the finals of the China Medical Device Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the FTR4H Digital Health Forum, and more than ten specialized forums.

Since its inception, the Medical Device Innovation and Services Exhibition (MFC) has distinguished itself from traditional finished-product exhibitions by centrally showcasing and facilitating exchange among service providers and innovative projects and products across all stages of medical device innovation. It promotes the global application, trading, and promotion of new technologies, products, and methodologies, while providing communication channels for professionals in the innovative healthcare industry and startups to engage with relevant government agencies, trade associations, product and service suppliers, purchasers, and research institutions. By fostering industry dialogue and accelerating the commercialization of innovative achievements, MFC establishes a one-stop innovation service platform.

Spanning an exhibition area of 10,000 square meters, this event is expected to bring together over 200 exhibiting companies and more than 10,000 professional attendees. Coinciding with the exhibition, the Medical Device Innovation Week (GDW) will be held once again. The program features one Ministry of Science and Technology Medical Device Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, three main forums, and 15 sub-forums. With over 200 distinguished speakers providing comprehensive insights into all facets of medical innovation, this is an event not to be missed!

Focusing on Innovation: MFC2021 Empowers the Industry’s Innovative Development

Affected by the pandemic last year, the Medical Device Innovation and Service Expo (MFC) was forced to press the pause button. After a year of accumulation and consolidation, MFC 2021 makes a strong comeback, continuing its close collaboration with the National Medical Device Industry Technology Innovation Service Alliance to create a distinctive hub for innovation in the medical device industry. The expo will attract professionals from hospitals, medical device R&D institutions, distributors and purchasers, innovative enterprises and service providers, investment firms, raw material suppliers, government agencies, and industrial parks, providing highly favorable conditions for fostering medical innovation.

Based on product categories and the nature of business, this year’s exhibition will cover six key sections: In Vitro Diagnostics & Point-of-Care Testing, Home & Wearable Medical Devices, Smart Healthcare, Epidemic Prevention, Medical Consumables, and Innovative Services. Since the launch of exhibitor recruitment, it has attracted numerous leading enterprises to participate.

Concurrent with the Medical Device Innovation Week, Leading New Directions for the Industry

Medical Device Innovation Week (Global Device Week) was launched in 2018 by the National Strategic Alliance for Technological Innovation in the Medical Device Industry, leveraging multi-party resources. It aims to gather global innovative talent, projects, products, and entrepreneurial service resources; promote international innovation collaboration; accelerate clinical research and the translation of institutional achievements in medical devices; foster a robust ecosystem for medical device innovation; and drive the sustained innovative development of China’s medical device industry.

The highly anticipated finals of the China Medical Device Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition will also be held in Suzhou concurrently with the exhibition. This year’s competition is themed “Addressing Practical Needs, Supporting the Translation of Clinical and Academic Research Achievements, and Emphasizing Technological Innovation and Innovative Services.” Participating projects will receive priority access to investment and mergers and acquisitions from industry enterprises and investment institutions, as well as exposure through leading media outlets. The event offers a rare opportunity to engage in face-to-face discussions with the industry’s most authoritative experts and to interact directly with elite leaders in the field. Exhibitors can attract investment capital by participating in the competition, thereby extending their corporate lifecycle.

In addition to the finals of the 4th China Medical Device Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and the 2021 Medical Device Innovation and Service Exhibition (Medical Fair China), the Medical Device Innovation Week featured multiple main forums: the 2021 China Medical Device Summit (DeviceChina2021), the 2021 China International Medical Innovation Forum (CMIF2021), the 2021 China Medical Device Translational Medicine and Innovation Services Forum (TMIS2021), and the FTR4H Digital Health Forum. These were complemented by 15 specialized thematic sub-forums. The content covered clinical product areas such as cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, imaging equipment, minimally invasive surgery, orthopedic devices and materials, medical artificial intelligence, and in vitro diagnostics. It also addressed various segments of the medical device innovation ecosystem—including industry, academia, research, sales, application, regulation, and investment—such as upstream materials and components, manufacturing processes, innovative design and contract manufacturing for medical devices, animal and clinical trials for innovative products, and the commercialization of medical achievements along with market and capital matchmaking.
