In 2011, BioBAY hosted the inaugural China Medical Device Summit (DeviceChina). Over the past decade, the summit has attracted numerous renowned medical device professionals, medical experts, entrepreneurs, investors, and senior executives from multinational corporations both domestically and internationally, with its influence steadily expanding. Today, the China Medical Device Summit ushers in a new decade, poised for fresh transformation.

Themed “Seizing Industry Opportunities and Driving Innovation in China’s Medical Device Sector,” this conference will feature over ten sub-forums focusing on innovation in Chinese medical devices, strategic reflections on the industry under new policies, and emerging technologies. Discussions will span multiple fields, including in vitro diagnostics (IVD), implantable and interventional medical devices, surgical robots, and biomedical materials. Additionally, the conference will invite leaders from central government ministries, industry elites, and hospital experts to share valuable insights, build a high-quality platform for exchange and collaboration, and jointly promote the healthy development of the industry amid new challenges.

As the "No. 1 Industry" prioritized for development in Suzhou Industrial Park, the biopharmaceutical sector has formed three distinctive industrial clusters: novel drug discovery and development, high-end medical devices, and biotechnology. In the field of medical devices, 15 products from 11 companies based in BioBAY have been included in the National Medical Products Administration’s “Green Channel” for innovative medical device approval, accounting for more than 50% of such approvals in Suzhou. The park has also nurtured a group of listed enterprises, including Hybio, Beikon, Kangzhong, and Peijia.
