Viewpoint News:On April 2, Shenzhen Core Medical Technology Co., Ltd. announced that its developed Corheart6, the world's lightest implantable artificial heart, has been implanted in over 1,200 cases, achieving clinical application coverage in more than 120 hospitals across China.

It is reported that, in 2024, the number of heart failure patients in China has exceeded 15 million, among which more than 1.5 million patients are in the end stage of heart failure. However, only over a thousand cases can receive heart transplants each year due to the extreme scarcity of donors.

Corheart6 weighs only 90 grams, making it the world's smallest and lightest fully magnetically levitated implantable artificial heart. Its end-user price is more than 40% cheaper than similar foreign products, offering great affordability and helping more families of heart failure patients afford treatment costs.
