VCBeat has learned that Peng Li Biomedical Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (“Peng Li Bio”) recently announced the completion of a new round of financing, with total proceeds nearing USD 100 million. The round was co-led by existing investors GL Ventures and HongShan, with participation from TOTAL AMPLE LIMITED, Yunion Healthcare Ventures, Lichen Investment, Yuanlai Investment, GT Capital, and Suzhou International Development Venture Capital. Existing investors Prosperico Ventures and Med-Fine Capital also made additional investments.
The funds will be utilized to further expand the preclinical pharmacology, efficacy, and bioanalysis service platform; upgrade laboratory facilities; enrich a comprehensive portfolio of animal models; cover a broader range of disease areas and advanced therapeutic modalities; and enhance the global service network. The aim is to build a world-class preclinical R&D service platform that facilitates efficient innovation in pharmaceuticals and medical devices both domestically and internationally.
