VCBeat has learned that recently,Beijing Xiantong International Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Xiantong Pharma") announced the completion of its RMB 320 million Series D+ financing round. This round was jointly invested by new institutional investors, China Life Health Industry Fund and C Capital, with existing shareholders such as Panya Investment and Deyi Capital continuing to participate. Kai Cheng Capital provided significant assistance and support for this financing round.
Previously, Xiantong Medicine had just completed its Series D financing in February 2021, led by CICC Qide, with participation from a series of institutions and additional support from existing institutional shareholders such as Hetang Venture Capital. Since April 2020, spanning less than one and a half years, Xiantong Medicine has consecutively completed financings totaling approximately RMB 1 billion, fully demonstrating the capital market’s high recognition of its strong capabilities in innovative research and development of nuclear medicine drugs. The funds raised in this round will continue to be used for the clinical research and development of new radiopharmaceutical projects.
Xiantong Pharma is an innovative pharmaceutical company dedicated to the research and development, manufacturing, and clinical application of next-generation radiopharmaceuticals, with a deep focus on a robust portfolio of integrated radioactive targeted theranostics. Headquartered in Beijing, the capital of China, the company operates modern radiopharmaceutical production bases in Jiangsu, Guangdong, and Sichuan provinces, and maintains a branch office in the United States. Leveraging globally leading R&D resources in radiopharmaceuticals and precision diagnostics and therapeutics, Xiantong Pharma has pioneered the deployment of multiple targeted therapeutic and precision diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals in the fields of oncology, neurodegenerative diseases, and cardiovascular disorders. Supported by the strong R&D capabilities of its in-house team, the company’s pipeline currently includes multiple radiodiagnostic and radiotherapeutic products, some of which have entered registrational clinical trials.
With the targeted clinical application of radioisotopes in recent years, the global radiopharmaceutical market has experienced rapid growth, rising from USD 7.1 billion in 2020 to a projected USD 26 billion by 2030. Meanwhile, driven by the issuance of national guideline documents for the industry, the applicability of the Marketing Authorization Holder (MAH) system to radiopharmaceuticals, and the relaxation of licensing requirements for nuclear medicine equipment, China’s radiopharmaceutical market is also poised for robust development.
Mr. Xu Xinsheng, Founder and Chairman of Xiantong MedicineStatement: With the release of the national medium- and long-term development plan for nuclear medicine, the domestic radiopharmaceutical sector has entered a phase of rapid growth. As China’s nuclear medicine field is still in its early stages of development, Xiantong leverages its strong independent R&D capabilities while collaborating with leading international radiopharmaceutical companies to aggressively advance the research and development of radiopharmaceuticals, thereby providing ample therapeutic options for patients and professionals in the nuclear medicine community. We believe that, supported by high-quality capital and through joint efforts with our partners, we will establish Xiantong as a leading enterprise in the niche radiopharmaceutical segment in China, contributing to the rise of the Chinese radiopharmaceutical industry.

The company has accumulated extensive experience in the R&D, manufacturing, clinical trials, and regulatory submissions of radiopharmaceuticals. Its product pipeline covers both innovative diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals, highlighting its outstanding comprehensive capabilities within the industry. China Life Capital Investment Limited aims to support Xiantong Medicine’s continuous innovation in the field of radiopharmaceuticals, accelerate the commercialization of diagnostically and therapeutically urgent radiopharmaceuticals, and thereby meet the growing health needs of the public.’”
