The 12th China (Taizhou) International Medicine Expo will be held at the Taizhou China Medical City Exhibition and Trading Center from October 23 to 25. The event is hosted by the China Chamber of International Commerce and the China Association of Chinese Medicine, and organized by the People's Government of Taizhou Municipality and the Jiangsu Provincial Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

The theme of this Medical Expo is “Focusing on the Industry Frontier, Promoting Innovative Development,” comprising four components: the opening ceremony, the 10th Joint Conference of the Ministry-Province Co-construction of Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone, exhibitions, and thematic forums.

A total of 21 thematic events were held at this Medical Expo, including the 8th China (Taizhou) International Pharmaceutical High-Level Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the 2021 China (Taizhou) Pharmaceutical Summit, and the 1st China (Taizhou) Health and Medical Big Data Summit. Renowned experts from home and abroad were invited to deliver speeches, release the latest information through high-level forums and professional activities, and provide comprehensive interpretations of the latest policy trends, as well as industrial and technological development directions in the pharmaceutical field.

The exhibition area of this expo covers 40,000 square meters, with more than 700 companies from 16 countries and regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Poland, France, Japan, Switzerland, Sri Lanka, Spain, and Italy, participating. A wide range of forward-looking information on domestic and international pharmaceuticals, vaccines, medical devices, diagnostic reagents, biological products, and medical technologies will be gathered here.

It is reported that, in response to the needs of normalized epidemic prevention and control, the Organizing Committee of the Taizhou Medical Expo has actively promoted innovative models for exhibition services and developed an online display platform. The committee strives to build the Taizhou Medical Expo into a high-quality, high-level international exchange and cooperation platform for the health industry, integrating both online and offline components. This involves establishing an integrated "online + offline" synchronous exhibition model. An online cloud pavilion has been created using new technologies such as VR to showcase all 40,000 square meters of exhibition space from the offline Taizhou Medical Expo through 720° VR panoramic 3D technology. Each VR booth can embed features such as exhibitor company profiles, corporate honors, product introductions, online negotiations, and virtual recruitment (requiring cooperation from participating enterprises for content production), providing visitors with an immersive exhibition experience from the comfort of their homes.

Furthermore, the online platform has innovatively launched a “VR Factory Audit (Virtual Factory Tour)” section. Leveraging VR panoramic technology, this feature presents the offline capabilities of exhibitors at the Taizhou Medical Expo through 720° panoramic VR experiences. It integrates various scenarios—including aerial factory footage, overall facility scale, workshops, production equipment, warehouses, offices, product showrooms, exhibit displays, and corporate promotional materials—into a comprehensive virtual reality tour. Buyers can scan QR codes on-site to remotely conduct all-around inspections of exhibitors’ factories, helping them identify high-quality, satisfactory, and reliable suppliers and products. Moreover, the Taizhou Medical Expo’s online exhibition platform enables functionalities such as online exhibitions, live streaming and playback of the opening ceremony, online conferences, VR-based exhibition tours, online consultations, and business matchmaking, thereby attracting domestic and international buyers to converge in the cloud for online procurement.
