In the first half of 2021, global digital health financing increased by 155% year-on-year. Innovations in access, efficiency, and payment continue to accelerate the digital transformation of healthcare worldwide.
What innovative technologies are digital health investors focusing on, and what is their investment thesis? What advice do they offer to early-stage startups to improve their chances of success? How can digital health entrepreneurs continuously explore, grow, and develop along their entrepreneurial journey? What successful experiences from digital health industry experts can be drawn upon?
On October 31, 2021 (Beijing Time), the Stanford Alumni Association of Beijing, the Stanford Alumni Association of Shanghai, and the Stanford Future Healthcare Club will jointly host an in-person event for the Shanghai session of the “Stanford Digital Health Innovation Forum.”
This event is divided into two sessions: Smart Healthcare and Health Management.

The first half of the session, focusing on smart healthcare, will feature Chen Min, Partner at Herbert Smith Freehills, who will introduce core issues in building patents for medical technology products and relevant policies for Chapter 18A of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange; Li Shaochun, General Manager of IBM Watson Health in Greater China, who will share trends in digital healthcare innovation and the development of the medical artificial intelligence industry; and Tang Yinan, Investment Director at Yuanyi Capital, who will analyze the development of the smart healthcare industry from the perspective of a professional investor. Additionally, Ding Ye, Founder of Yuanye Technology; Gong Enhao, Founder of Deepwise Healthcare; Peng Qibin, Founder of Xushui Interconnect; and Zhou Yutong, Founder of Yisheng Intelligence, will share their entrepreneurial experiences and personal journeys in the field of smart healthcare.

The second half of the session on health management will feature Professor Qian Xiang, Director of the Pain Center at Stanford University Medical Center, who will share innovative trends in the digital management of pain; Li Junjie, Vice President of the Stanford Shanghai Alumni Association and Partner at Zhong Lun Law Firm, who will address common legal issues in entrepreneurship, including corporate structure, intellectual property, and equity incentives; Cai Rongwei, President of the Columbia University Shanghai Alumni Association and Partner at Zhong Lun Law Firm, who will discuss the latest regulations on digital health product management, data security, and information protection; Song Yiran, Initiator of the China Digital Therapeutics System Engineering Project and Investment Director at Yuanyi Capital, who will analyze innovation trends in health management and digital therapeutics from the perspective of a professional investor; and Professor Chen Wenming from the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at Fudan University, Dai Hua, Founder of New Frontier Bio, and Zhao Juanjuan, Marketing Director at Yongliu Technology, who will share their research, entrepreneurial experiences, and personal journeys in the field of health management.
The event also invited Li Yang, founder of the Stanford Future Healthcare Club, to share his insights on the digital health venture capital ecosystem and digital health accelerators.
