10On the 28th, Shandong Weigao Interventional Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Weigao Interventional” or the “Company”) announced the completion of a financing round amounting to over RMB 1 billionAround of financing. This also marks the first equity financing completed by a subsidiary of the Weigao Group targeting market-oriented investment institutions. The round was led by investors including Xinjin Capital, with participation from eight prominent investment firms such as CCB International, Haifu Changjiang Growth Fund, and the China-Belgium Direct Equity Investment Fund. China Renaissance served as the exclusive financial advisor.

Shandong Weigao Interventional Medical Technology Co., Ltd. has been deeply engaged in the industry for nearly 20 years, witnessing the entire rise of Chinese manufacturers of high-value medical consumables. The company’s product portfolio comprehensively covers all segments of the pan-vascular field, creating a product matrix that is comprehensive, cutting-edge, and leading. Based in China with a global vision, the company has established a mature and standardized global R&D system, currently operating two R&D platforms in California and Minnesota, USA, and three R&D centers in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Weihai, Shandong. Upholding Weigao’s pragmatic spirit, the company’s mature and professional independent sales team can rapidly achieve market access and continues to expand product and market cooperation opportunities on a global scale.

Across all its areas of involvement, Weigao Interventional simultaneously boasts blockbuster core products and comprehensive, fully integrated solutions, deploying a dual-pronged strategy. In the field of cardiovascular intervention, the company independently developed and launched Xinsorb, a bioresorbable sirolimus-eluting coronary stent. Composed of bioresorbable polylactic acid-based polymer materials, the stent fulfills its purpose of supporting stenotic vessels and improving blood flow channels. Approximately three years after implantation, it degrades into water and carbon dioxide, which are naturally metabolized and absorbed by the human body. This process allows the vessel’s structure and function to return to their natural state, ultimately achieving complete healing and aligning with the technological trend of “intervention without implantation.”

In the field of neurointervention, the company has established a comprehensive portfolio of interventional devices for both hemorrhagic and ischemic conditions. Among these, the Visee detachable coil system for intracranial aneurysm embolization, meticulously refined over several years, is the domestically produced product with the highest market share. The next-generation technology, currently in advanced development and scheduled for launch next year, features electrically detached coils that demonstrate significant therapeutic efficacy by enabling softer and denser packing.

Furthermore, Weigao Interventional’s Envi-SR intracranial thrombectomy stent is the world’s first thrombectomy stent featuring an eccentric multi-segment design. This design better conforms to tortuous vascular anatomy and ensures that the stent segments remain fully open during thrombus retrieval, thereby reducing the risk of thrombus embolization. Unlike traditional thrombectomy stents, which tend to narrow and collapse under tension or bending, the Envi-SR maintains its structural integrity. The Envi-SR thrombectomy stent can easily reach the M2 (middle cerebral artery) and even M3 segments, demonstrating significant clinical advantages. Currently, the product has obtained CE certification, and dozens of patients have been enrolled in clinical trials in China, with rapid progress being made.

In other fields, the company also has commercialized products that have broken the monopoly of foreign imports. The various segments develop synergistically to jointly create a comprehensive pan-vascular interventional treatment solution.

Mr. Sun Fengwei, Chairman of Weigao Interventional, stated, “We sincerely appreciate investors’ recognition and endorsement of Weigao Interventional’s achievements and expertise accumulated over the past two decades, which have laid a solid foundation for our subsequent commercialization and internationalization. This round of financing will enable the company to further increase investment in product research and development as well as market expansion. Remaining true to our original mission, Weigao Interventional is committed to working alongside healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and advanced pan-vascular interventional therapy products for patients with vascular diseases.”

Mr. Xie Yijing, Managing Director and Head of the Healthcare and Life Sciences Group at China Renaissance, stated, “We are deeply honored to participate in Weigao Interventional’s first external financing round. Weigao Interventional is a rare multi-platform interventional medical device group in China, with market-leading flagship products and high-potential R&D pipelines across each of its specialized segments. Over the years, the company’s management team has remained stable and cohesive, bringing strong expertise in management, operations, and successful post-merger integration, while simultaneously establishing a comprehensive end-user sales network. We firmly believe that, under the leadership of its mature and well-rounded team, guided by a solid commitment to innovation, and bolstered by the influence of the Weigao Group, the company will continue to scale new heights in its corporate development.”
