China Biopharma Developers Conference & 3rd Antibody Drug Development and Industrialization Summit Announces IPO Filing

In recent years, biotechnology has advanced at an accelerating pace, with iterative technological innovations propelling biomedical R&D into a boom period. Technologies such as mRNA, PROTAC (Proteolysis-Targeting Chimeras), and AI-driven biological integration exemplified by AlphaFold2 are all driving rapid progress in research. As we stand on the brink of an explosive era in protein research, will this usher in a new wave of technological innovation in drug development?

As the development of antibody drugs has become increasingly commercially mature, the FDA has approved more than 100 antibody therapies. In 1986, OKT3 (muromonab-CD3) received the FDA’s first approval for a therapeutic monoclonal antibody; in 1994, the FDA approved the second therapeutic monoclonal antibody drug. In 2015, the FDA approved its 50th antibody drug, and six years later, this number reached 100.

Against the backdrop of the rapid development of biotechnology abroad, China’s biomedical R&D landscape is closely keeping pace.
