Recently, the 2021 H2H Medical Service Ecosystem Conference, themed “Deepening Chronic Disease Management and Harnessing Innovation,” hosted by Fangzhou Jianke, was successfully held in Shanghai. The conference brought together hundreds of partners from across the industry chain, medical experts, and key industry leaders to discuss innovations and challenges under the new model of internet-based chronic disease management.

Xie Fangmin, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Fangzhou Jianke, reviewed the company’s rapid growth in 2021 at the conference and unveiled Fangzhou Jianke’s new strategy for 2022.

Continuing to Deepen Chronic Disease Services, with Core Competitiveness Continuously Enhancing

Founded in 2009, Ark Health has adhered to its mission of “making everyone healthier” and is dedicated to advancing internet-based chronic disease management services. Over the years, it has grown into a leading full-lifecycle chronic disease management service platform in China.

Xie Fangmin reviewed that from April to July 2021, Fangzhou Jianke successively entered into strategic collaborations with multiple pharmaceutical companies, including Santen Pharmaceutical, Menarini, Zeltis Pharma, and Novartis. At this Medical Service Ecosystem Conference, Fangzhou Jianke forged new strategic partnerships with entities such as Zijin Insurance, further deepening the closed-loop internet medical service model encompassing “medical care–patients–pharmaceuticals–insurance–knowledge.” While continuously optimizing its internal teams, the influx of elites across various fields will comprehensively enhance Fangzhou Jianke’s core brand strength, market competitiveness, and social service capabilities.

While achieving robust business growth, Fangzhou Jianke has also actively shouldered greater social responsibility, launching multiple public welfare initiatives in 2021. In 2021, it was honored as one of the “Top Ten Internet Medical and Health Service Enterprises for Epidemic Prevention and Control.” In March, Fangzhou Jianke was invited to participate in an economic and trade inspection tour in Nyingchi, where it donated essential health medications to the local community. In October, in collaboration with the Professional Committee for Popular Science Education on Men’s Health, it jointly launched a public welfare campaign dedicated to promoting men’s health awareness.

Xie Fangmin summarized the key business achievements of Ark Health, highlighting its service accomplishments for physicians, patients, and pharmaceutical companies. In 2021, Ark Health’s services also received high recognition from government agencies, including the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province and the People’s Government of Nyingchi City in Tibet, as well as from various sectors of society.

Looking Back at 2021: Driven by Strong Market Demand and Rapid Technological Integration, Fangzhou Jianke Deepened Its Internet-Based Chronic Disease Management Services, Established a Smart Healthcare Business Ecosystem, and Completed the Closed-Loop of Online Chronic Disease Care.

“Patient-Centric” Comprehensive Strategic Upgrade

At last year’s Partner Conference, Ark Health Group announced the establishment of a Health Innovation Fund, dedicated to technological applications in chronic disease management, specialized medical departments, clinics, and patient acquisition channels. The fund aims to build a health ecosystem centered on chronic disease management, injecting new momentum into industry innovation. At this year’s conference, Xie Fangmin stated that the traditional “disease-centric” service model would be replaced. Ark Health will restructure its business around “patient” needs, undertaking a comprehensive strategic upgrade across its business models, offerings, and overall strategy.

Business operations continue to focus on chronic disease management. Related services now cover cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, diabetes, musculoskeletal and joint disorders, men’s health, psychiatry, respiratory conditions, gastroenterology, oncology, gynecology, and dermatology. We have established and operationalized three major health management centers: the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center, the Men’s Health Management Service Center, and the Dermatology Health Management Service Center. These enable us to provide exclusive, personalized chronic disease management services with the characteristics of online family physician care for patients with chronic conditions.

Business Strategy: Internal Standardization and External Responsiveness. Strengthen patient-physician education, conduct market research, and enhance pharmaceutical distribution efficiency. For physicians, improve doctor-patient communication, elevate medical standards, and increase compliant income. For patients, reduce healthcare costs, overcome geographical barriers, and provide whole-course disease management services. Uphold the mission of “Making Everyone Healthier,” actively respond to national policy initiatives, assist in the allocation of medical resources, and lower healthcare costs.

Xie Fangmin stated that in 2022, Ark Health would achieve new breakthroughs in its services, establishing an internet medical service closed loop characterized by a “three-vertical, one-horizontal” model driven by chronic disease management. Centered on “professional” services for patients with chronic diseases, the company will optimize professional services across the entire workflow of its four major business segments. By leveraging its own strengths to meet patient needs, it will prioritize refining chronic disease management services to build professional expertise and create differentiated competition against traditional services. The service strategy will be grounded in refined management to enhance service quality.

Embracing Digital Opportunities, Forging a New Ecological Landscape

Amid the rapid advancement of digital technologies, healthcare services are no longer confined to the traditional experience of seeking medical consultation; they are increasingly taking on diverse forms and becoming more closely integrated into our daily lives. Digital transformation is an inevitable path for development across all industries. Against the backdrop of the pandemic, internet-based healthcare has accelerated its growth, and Fangzhou Jianke is also accelerating its digitalization efforts.

In terms of its business model, Fangzhou Jianke leverages its established digital capabilities to deliver comprehensive chronic disease management services directly to patients through multiple touchpoints. By breaking down temporal and spatial barriers via digital means, it enables physicians to fully utilize their expertise within their respective specialties, while collectively providing patients with a closed-loop internet healthcare service ecosystem encompassing “medical care, patient engagement, pharmaceuticals, insurance, and health education.”

Xie Fangmin pointed out that Ark Health is accelerating the development of its digital capabilities. By integrating extensive artificial intelligence technologies into its disease management framework—alongside digital tools such as an automated channel data collection system, AI-powered customer service, and the Youcai Supplier Service Platform—Ark Health is establishing broader and deeper connections among pharmaceutical companies, physicians, and patients, thereby delivering more effective health management and innovative treatment solutions to patients.

Xie Fangmin stated that how to unlock the greater application value of digitalization and collaborate with partners to build a more standardized and comprehensive chronic disease management ecosystem is a critical challenge facing the healthcare industry, as well as the shared mission of Fangzhou Jianke and its industry partners. She called on all stakeholders to join hands and work together toward achieving the goals of “Healthy China 2030.”
