Today (April 3), Zai Lab announced a major personnel appointment to its employees.Jing Liu will join Zai Lab today as Senior Vice President and Head of the Immunology Business Unit., directly reporting to Andrew Zhu (Zhu Tong), Chief Commercial Officer of Zai Lab Greater China.
Zai Lab stated that after Liu Jing joins, she will be fully responsible for the strategic planning, product portfolio management, and team building of Zai Lab's immunology business unit, leading this core business division to establish a leading position in the industry.
Liu Jing has over 28 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Before joining Zai Lab, Liu Jing worked at Sanofi and Pfizer successively.
As previously introduced by Dami, Liu Jing graduated from the Medical College of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and was once an internist. She later worked for several multinational pharmaceutical companies, including AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Merck & Co., and Johnson & Johnson.
In 2015, Liu Jing joined Sanofi China, successively serving as Director of Oncology Marketing, Head of Oncology and Neuroscience Business Unit, General Manager of Cardiovascular and Established Products Division, and General Manager of Innovative and Core Business Division.
On January 6, 2023, Liu Jing joined Pfizer and was appointed as the General Manager of Pfizer China's Inflammation & Immunology (I&I) Division. She is based in Shanghai and reports directly to Jean-Christophe Pointeau, President of Pfizer China.
On November 3 last year, Pfizer announced that Liu Jing would be leaving the company. However, she will continue to serve in an advisory role at Pfizer China until March 2026 to ensure a smooth transition of business operations.
