Shanghai Kangli Diagnostics Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Kangli Diagnostics”) and Qingkong Medical Diagnostics Company (hereinafter referred to as “Qingkong Diagnostics”) have entered into a strategic cooperation agreement regarding PD-monitor. This initiative was jointly developed by Kangli Diagnostics, Dr. Stephen Smith, and his research team from the Department of Electronic Engineering at the University of York.Parkinson’s Disease Monitor (PD-Monitor)Utilizing unique, bionics-based computer algorithms developed in collaboration with the world’s leading medical centers, this approach enables safe, rapid, and non-invasive objective assessment of symptoms in patients with Parkinson’s disease.

As a pioneering domestic enterprise specializing in auxiliary diagnostic and rehabilitation care solutions for psychiatric, psychological, and central nervous system disorders, CONLIGHT Diagnostics and its parent company, CONLIGHT MEDICAL, serveCovering more than 1,000 general and psychiatric hospitals across China, including all of the top 100 psychiatric hospitals, we have provided precision medicine guidance and services to over 250,000 patients., possessing China's largest psychiatric pharmacogenomics database. Currently, PD-Monitor is conducting large-scale clinical trials at UCSF/VAMC in the United States, Hull York Medical School/York/Leeds in Europe, and Ruijin Hospital in China,CE-marked and commercially available; FDA approval imminent. Subsequently, CONLIGHT MEDICAL will be responsible for the product's registration with the National Medical Products Administration ("NMPA")Medical Device Registration and Innovative Application Submission, and leverage CONLIGHT MEDICAL's advantages in production, R&D, registration, and sales to achieve commercialization goals.

With the intensifying aging of the population, the number of confirmed Parkinson’s disease patients in China has currently exceeded3 million, it is projected that by 2030, the number of patients will reach nearly5 million, accounting for half of the global Parkinson’s disease patient population. The high prevalence and high disability rate of Parkinson’s disease will impose a heavy societal burden. In addition to direct medical costs, Parkinson’s disease incurs long-term care costs for patients’ families and results in productivity losses for society. Health economics research shows:The Average Annual Burden for Parkinson’s Disease Patients Exceeds 20,000 YuanAs the disease progresses, the economic burden associated with Parkinson’s disease will increase. Conservatively estimated, the current market size for Parkinson’s disease in China is approximately RMB 60 billion, and it is projected to exceed RMB 100 billion by 2030. In the future, as the indications for the PD-Monitor product expand to include mild cognitive impairment (MCI), the addressable market could reach hundreds of billions of yuan.

Professor Chen Shengdi of Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, led his team in conducting translational research on the pathogenesis and early diagnosis and treatment of Parkinson’s disease and its applications. They established a whole-course disease management system and developed innovative, optimized therapeutic regimens, for which they were awarded the Second Prize of the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award.

Early Diagnostic Stage: The AI-powered wearable technology (PD-Monitor) achieves 90% accuracy in the differential diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor, and can increase the early diagnostic rate to 100% through a multimodal biomarker panel.

● During the comprehensive diagnosis and treatment phase: Implement individualized precision therapy based on symptom types and pharmacogenomics; propose an integrated treatment regimen encompassing medication, surgery, exercise rehabilitation, and psychological counseling. This approach significantly reduced recent adverse reactions in Parkinson’s disease patients from 43% to 7.3%, and long-term complications from a range of 28%–77.6% to 10.3%.

Leveraging CONLIGHT MEDICAL’s strengths in active medical devices and pharmacogenomics, this collaboration will not only accelerate the adoption of cutting-edge technologies among patients and healthcare professionals in China, but also serve as a model for applying artificial intelligence and wearable devices in clinical settings to enable and enhance early detection and objective diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease.

“CONLIGHT DIAGNOSTICS’ vision is to becomeChina's Innovative Diagnostics and Precision Medicine Technologiesa leader, continuously providing healthcare professionals with innovative auxiliary diagnostic tools and services to help them make better decisions in clinical decision-making and when developing medication regimens for patients.”He Jiong, CEO and Founder of Shanghai CONLIGHT Diagnostics Technology Co., Ltd.stated: “CONLIGHT MEDICAL has conducted a prospective assessment of the application prospects of digital healthcare in the field of neuropsychiatry. In 2017, CONLIGHT MEDICAL, in collaboration with Qingkong Diagnostics and Professor Chen Shengdi’s team at Shanghai Ruijin Hospital, jointly completed a large-scale clinical validation study in the Chinese population. In response to the national advocacy for ‘Intelligent Manufacturing in China’ and encouragement of localized innovation, we will advance the product’s registration, market launch, and innovative approval applications in China.”

Meanwhile, this enables us to concentrate on continuous product development efforts, ranging from user interface improvements for existing products to expansion into exciting new areas, such as early diagnosis of dementia.”

PD-Monitor is the first product in the strategic partnership between the two parties. Building on CONLIGHT MEDICAL and Qingkong Diagnostics’ specialized expertise in applying artificial intelligence technologies to specific disease areas, subsequent efforts will focus onBrain Science / Neuropsychiatry, further collaborate to develop a series of non-invasive, user-friendly, and objective digital health products, aligning with future trends in population aging, tiered diagnosis and treatment, and telemedicine.
