According to Lu Anbang, CEO of VISEN Pharmaceuticals, there is a significant unmet need in the field of pediatric endocrinology. VISEN remains firmly focused on adult endocrinology, pediatric endocrinology, and rare endocrine diseases, committed to providing first-in-class or best-in-class innovative drugs with high market urgency to enable target pediatric patients to grow up healthier. Among the three products in VISEN’s pipeline, the one used for treating pediatric growth hormone deficiencyLonapegsomatropinNow in Phase III clinical trials, the product is expected to submit a marketing authorization application to the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in 2022. It has the potential to become China’s first long-acting growth hormone that exerts its therapeutic effect by releasing unmodified human growth hormone molecules. At this critical juncture of accelerating R&D and product launch, entering into a strategic partnership with MedSci will enable more efficient and precise academic promotion, thereby enhancing corporate momentum.

Zhang Fabao, Chairman of MedSci, believes that as innovative pharmaceutical companies evolve from biotech to biopharma, and further toward big pharma, they require not only R&D innovation but also commercial innovation. As one of the earliest enterprises in China dedicated to digital innovation in medicine and commerce, MedSci has engaged in multi-dimensional, in-depth collaborations with over 100 pharmaceutical companies both domestically and internationally. Leveraging its extensive physician platform, MedSci provides innovative drug companies with medical affairs services, digital academic dissemination, and digital clinical research solutions. Centered on evidence-based medicine, it creates a closed loop encompassing the generation, interpretation, and dissemination of evidence for innovative drugs. Before and after the market launch of innovative drugs, it is essential to continuously explore their connotations and value, and to convey the core value propositions of these drugs to target physicians and patients through digital means, enabling broader and faster familiarity with innovative therapies among the target healthcare community and patient population.

Currently, both parties have engaged in in-depth collaboration in areas such as medical strategy, medical services, and expert-led scientific research and academic support. Following the product launch, they will further strengthen their partnership with more close and long-term cooperation in online physician education, patient education, and digital marketing.

Following the signing ceremony, Chen Jun, Chief Marketing Officer of VISEN Pharmaceuticals, engaged in an in-depth dialogue with Zhang Fabao, Chairman of MedSci. Chen Jun stated that amidst the unprecedentedly fervent market environment for innovative drug development in oncology and immunology, VISEN Pharmaceuticals has rooted itself in the relatively less crowded endocrinology sector, driven by the substantial market demand for endocrine disorders. The company is committed to providing first-in-class or best-in-class products and treatment solutions for endocrine diseases, thereby improving the quality of life for patients with rare diseases in China. Addressing the impact of the digital wave on the pharmaceutical industry, Zhang Fabao, Chairman of MedSci, remarked that digitalization serves as the foundational infrastructure for the future of the pharmaceutical sector, permeating every aspect of the industry chain. In the realm of pharmaceutical communication, he emphasized that academic rigor is the prerequisite for digitalization; dissemination must be grounded in evidence-based medicine. Only then can digital marketing achieve greater precision, speed, authenticity, and value.

This strategic partnership between VISEN and MedSci will maximize the synergistic advantages of both parties, unleash digital momentum, and jointly drive comprehensive corporate development from R&D innovation to commercial innovation. Together, they will work to make innovative medicines accessible to target patients earlier and faster, contributing to the advancement of the Healthy China strategy.
