At the launch ceremony, China Merchants Shekou’s subsidiary, China Merchants Guanyi, entered into a strategic partnership with UBTECH Robotics to build a digital-intelligence ecosystem for health and elderly care. Leveraging UBTECH’s professional expertise in artificial intelligence and robotics, the collaboration aims to address market demands in the health and elderly care sector by creating a benchmark project characterized by model and technological innovation—the Phase II of Shekou China Merchants Guanyi Home. This initiative will provide seniors with services such as assisted exercise, intelligent companionship, and autonomous delivery, while advancing the application of intelligent robots in scenarios including medical assistance, health monitoring, disease screening, elderly companionship, daily care, and dementia care.
China Merchants Guanyi has partnered with UBTECH Robotics, a leading enterprise in artificial intelligence and humanoid robots, for the first time. This collaboration integrates China Merchants Guanyi’s industrial resource advantages with UBTECH Robotics’ core technologies, products, and proven applications in the field of intelligent robotics, aiming to provide more efficient, convenient, and human-centric services for the elderly in their later years.
Leveraging the Shekou China Merchants Guanyi Home, China Merchants Shekou has partnered with the Nanshan District Civil Affairs Bureau, Zhaoshang Subdistrict, UBTECH Robotics, and other enterprises to co-establish Shenzhen’s first “four-tier elderly care service network” that provides comprehensive coverage across subdistricts, communities, residential compounds, and home-based settings. This network operates under a unified brand, unified planning, and unified management by a single company within a designated area, thereby promoting high-quality development of elderly care services and contributing to Shenzhen’s goal of establishing a benchmark for public well-being characterized by “dignified and supported aging.”

UBTECH Robotics possesses core technologies in artificial intelligence and robotics, including high-performance servo drives, mechanical transmission, motion planning and control, computer vision and perception, intelligent voice interaction, SLAM and navigation, human-computer interaction, hand-eye coordination, and the Robot Operating System Application Framework (ROSA). The company has secured more than 2,600 patents worldwide. Leveraging intelligent robots as its platform and AI technology as its core, UBTECH has implemented practical applications across various industries, including AI education, commercial services, intelligent inspection, smart epidemic prevention, smart logistics, and smart elderly care.
China Merchants Guanyihe and UBTECH Robotics will also explore the potential of hard technologies in medical elderly care, smart management, and smart communities, carrying out more technical pilots around the needs of different scenarios, such as the application of new technologies like artificial intelligence and robotics in diseases including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and stroke. As both parties deepen their cooperation, more smart health and elderly care products will facilitate industrial upgrading in the construction and operation of cities, industrial parks, and communities.
