CareAlliance Medical Completes Strategic Acquisition of Ningbo Haishu Rehabilitation Hospital

VCBeat has recently learned that Shanghai GooChain Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “GooChain Medical”), a member enterprise of New Wind Health Group, announced the completion of its strategic acquisition of 100% controlling interest in Ningbo Haishu Rehabilitation Hospital, with the transaction already closed. Following the acquisition, the hospital will be renamed “Ningbo GooChain Haishu Rehabilitation Hospital” (proposed name), hereinafter referred to as “GooChain Haishu.”

Gulian Haishu currently operates and manages 350 beds, equipped with an ICU (Intensive Care Unit), an HDU (High Dependency Unit), and a large-scale hyperbaric oxygen chamber complex featuring 36 air-pressurized chambers. The hospital offers a range of early rehabilitation techniques, including ventilator support within hyperbaric oxygen chambers, establishing itself as a leading rehabilitation specialty hospital in East China with a focus on critical care rehabilitation.

This acquisition constitutes a key component of Guilian Medical’s expansion plan in East China. As one of the earliest critical care rehabilitation hospitals in East China to integrate and coordinate multiple disciplines—including Critical Care Medicine, Rehabilitation Medicine, and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy—Guilian Haishu aligns closely with Guilian Medical’s current strategic initiative of “Excellence in Rehabilitation, Humanistic Healthcare.” Furthermore, through the acquisition of Guilian Haishu, Guilian Medical has onboarded numerous outstanding regional talents in critical care rehabilitation and management, laying a solid foundation for the company’s subsequent expansion plans in East China.

Upon completion of this acquisition, Guilian Healthcare will assume full responsibility for the operational management of Guilian Haishu, achieving group-wide standardized management enhancement and empowerment across medical quality, talent strategy, operating models, process management, patient-centered care, logistical support, and brand integration.

The hospital is planned to have 500 beds, with 350 beds available in Phase I. It offers outpatient services and departments including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Integrated TCM and Western Medicine, Pediatric Rehabilitation, and Rehabilitation Medicine (covering Critical Care Rehabilitation, Neurological Rehabilitation, Bone and Joint Rehabilitation, Geriatric Rehabilitation, and Pain Rehabilitation, among others). In October 2021, Ningbo Gulian Haishu Rehabilitation Hospital was honored with the “Leading Specialist Rehabilitation Hospital Award” in the “Top 50 Social Rehabilitation Medical Institutions in China” selection campaign.
