2022 Annual China Medical Research Summit and Release of the 2021 Research Report Successfully Held by MedSci

On January 20, 2022, the “2022 China Medical Research Summit,” hosted by Shanghai MedSci Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “MedSci”), was grandly held.

At the Scientific Research Summit, Nanjing Medical UniversityChen FengThe professor described the significance of statistics as follows: Statistical thinking is unique in scientific research, and its role in promoting the development of empirical disciplines that rely on data as evidence is immeasurable. Therefore, every medical researcher must learn and correctly apply statistical thinking to guide their scientific research and clinical practice.

At this research summit,Zhang FabaoThe Ph.D. delivered an insightful report titled “Top 10 Trends in Medical Research in 2022.” He noted, “In recent years, serious healthcare has been increasingly integrating with technology, with a continuous wave of new medical concepts emerging. Cutting-edge technologies such as the metaverse are drawing closer to the healthcare sector. The metaverse is not merely the virtual reality of previous years; it carries deeper connotations and can serve as a preview of the future world, offering a glimpse into your future self. As physicians, we must not only master clinical knowledge but also develop an awareness of digital technologies, proactively embrace them, and leverage these technologies to better support clinical research.”

Meanwhile, Peking University Clinical Research InstituteYao ChenThe professor noted that innovative digital technologies can address the research pain points of clinicians. For instance, by integrating NLP tools into web-based interactive interfaces, clinicians without programming expertise can extract information from text. Furthermore, models can achieve self-directed dynamic learning and optimization through corpora annotated by clinicians, building upon initial models. In summary, these models enable clinicians to largely overcome the challenges associated with traditional manual data processing.
