This conference will invite experts from leading pulmonary vascular centers across China to focus on interventional therapy for pulmonary hypertension: percutaneous pulmonary artery denervation (PADN). From various perspectives of disease diagnosis and treatment, the conference will explore the latest clinical advances in the field of pulmonary hypertension and share clinical experience. It is of great significance for comprehensively improving core diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities and the quality of medical services for pulmonary vascular diseases.

To fully implement the requirements of the “Outline of the Healthy China 2030 Plan” and the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease prevention and control actions under the “Healthy China Action (2019–2030),” the National Clinical Research Center for Cardiovascular Diseases and the Chinese Society of Cardiology have jointly launched the “National Cardiovascular Disease Management Capability Assessment and Improvement Project (Cardiovascular Disease Quality Initiative, CDQI).” This initiative aims to promote the implementation of the national cardiovascular disease management capability assessment and improvement program by the Capacity Building and Continuing Education Center of the National Health Commission, and to establish a national standardized system for clinical quality assessment and capability enhancement in specialized cardiovascular disease centers.

Among the various cardiovascular diseases, pulmonary vascular diseases have received extremely low attention and awareness. Pulmonary vascular diseases, represented by pulmonary embolism and pulmonary hypertension, are common clinical conditions that pose serious threats to human health, with high mortality and disability rates. How to explore more effective therapies and implement clinical management for pulmonary vascular diseases is currently one of the areas receiving significant attention at the national level.

As a long-term initiative with a national scope and future-oriented vision, CDQI began to comprehensively strategize the national landscape of the pulmonary vascular disease industry in late 2021 by establishing the National Standardized Pulmonary Vascular Disease Center. Through the development of these centers, CDQI aims to build a world-class big data platform for pulmonary vascular diseases, provide comprehensive solutions for enhancing clinical service capabilities, and achieve holistic advancement in clinical practice, scientific research, and talent development.

CDQI Pioneer Academy, Session 1: From Incurable to Curable. This session offers an in-depth analysis of the novel interventional therapy for pulmonary hypertension—Percutaneous Pulmonary Artery Denervation (PADN)—from the perspective of clinical experts. Amidst limited treatment options for pulmonary hypertension, the advent of PADN technology has reshaped the industry landscape. The development of this original technology has accelerated therapeutic exploration across the field, creating new possibilities for improving the health of patients with pulmonary hypertension.

Empowering Industrial Development with Innovative Technologies! The Pioneer Academy of the CDQI National Standardized Pulmonary Vascular Disease Center cordially invites you to participate and bear witness. As the Lunar New Year begins, let us convene in the cloud to jointly write a new chapter in cardiovascular disease management.
