The 2022 China International Consumer Products Expo, co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the People's Government of Hainan Province, will be held in Haikou from April 12 to 16. In accordance with the overall arrangements for this year’s Expo, the supporting Global Healthcare Consumption Forum will be held concurrently during the event.
Building a Grand Stage to Amplify China’s Voice in the Global Healthcare Consumer Market
According to the organizer’s representative, the Global Healthcare Consumption Forum will be committed to the principles of internationalization, branding, openness, and innovation, striving to build an influential premier forum in the fields of global healthcare services and health tourism consumption.
By partnering with professional associations in the international medical tourism sector and collaborating with the World Medical Tourism & Global Health Congress, the forum will be held during the China International Consumer Products Expo. It will invite senior government officials, experts in the consumer healthcare field, and CEOs of leading international brands in consumer healthcare to participate in thematic forums, the opening keynote conference, ranking announcements, signing ceremonies for cooperative projects, and customized roundtable discussions. These initiatives aim to deeply explore current trends and hotspots in the international consumer healthcare market, thereby driving the development of the consumer healthcare industry in China, particularly in Hainan.
Currently, the upgrading of market demand in China is inevitably forcing supply-side reforms, with the growing middle- and high-income population driving the development of the mid-to-high-end medical market. The forum will jointly release the 2021 “Report on the Promotion and Evaluation of International Consumer Healthcare Influential Brands” in collaboration with the People’s Daily Online – People’s Data Research Institute.
Leveraging the robust “National Cloud” technical capabilities accumulated by People’s Daily and People’s Daily Online in the fields of informatization and big data, the People’s Data Research Institute conducts research on the consumer healthcare sector based on relevant policy-related public opinion and industry development big data. This initiative aims to provide insights into the overall development of the consumer healthcare industry, establish industry benchmarks, and promote outstanding brand case studies.
The ranking selection strictly adheres to the principles of public welfare, openness, and transparency. Compiled based on publicly available internet data and information submitted by participating organizations, it conducts systematic research into key dimensions such as technological innovation, service innovation, health consumption culture, public awareness, reputation and image, and brand influence. By leveraging retrieved public data and established criteria, the report identifies top-tier brand benchmarks and high-growth enterprises across ten major categories, culminating in the release of the “International Consumer Healthcare Brand Influence Recommendation and Evaluation Report.”

Compilation of Recommended Evaluation Indicators for Influential Enterprises at the Global Medical Consumption Forum of the 2022 China International Consumer Products ExpoThe compilation of recommended evaluation indicators for influential enterprises at the Global Medical Consumption Forum of the 2022 China International Consumer Products Expo will assess companies from three perspectives: technological innovation, communication impact, and growth performance. Relevant evaluation data will be aggregated from channels including recommendations by industry associations and professional institutions, corporate business registration information, media coverage, and re-evaluation surveys of shortlisted enterprises. The final output will be a list of recommended enterprises within sub-sectors, specifically categorizing candidate companies into ten major industries: pharmaceutical consumption, consumer healthcare institutions, nutritional and health supplements, health consumption services, digital medical platforms, genetic testing, assisted reproduction, medical technology devices, anti-aging medical aesthetics, and medical-health tourism consumption. Within each industry category, enterprises are classified into three types: domestic and international influence, growth-oriented, and innovation-driven. The growth dimension focuses on corporate development and expansion, while the innovation dimension emphasizes scientific research and technological capabilities.
