On April 12, the headquarters base project of Sirrem, a leading enterprise in China's brain-computer interface flexible rehabilitation robot field, officially commenced production in Liangxi District. This not only signifies that the company has completed the construction of an integrated industrial system encompassing "research and development – manufacturing – services," but also means that Liangxi District has filled a crucial gap in research and manufacturing in its efforts to seize the high ground in the future industry of brain-computer interfaces, injecting core momentum into the creation of a smart rehabilitation hub in the Yangtze River Delta.

Sirrem Focuses on the Field of Hand Function Flexible Rehabilitation Robots, Deeply Cooperating with Top Teams in China in the Invasive Brain-Computer Interface Direction. Its Developed Hand Function Flexible Rehabilitation Robot Can Help High-Level Paraplegic Patients Regain Finger Control Through "Thought," Allowing Cutting-Edge Technology to Truly Serve Civilian Rehabilitation. Currently, Invasive Brain-Computer Interface Rehabilitation Products Have Completed Dozens of Clinical Trials at Medical Institutions Such as Huashan Hospital in Shanghai and Jiangsu Provincial People's Hospital, Successfully Obtaining the World’s First Class III Medical Device Registration Certificate for Brain-Computer Interfaces. Sirrem Has Deployed Hundreds of Devices in Hospitals and Communities Across Multiple Regions in Jiangsu Province. The Hand Function Flexible Rehabilitation Robot Has Been Successfully Included in the Wuxi City Rehabilitation Assistive Devices Community Rental Service Catalog. The Company Has Simultaneously Launched an "Internet + Home Rehabilitation" Service Model, Creating a Full-Chain Rehabilitation Service Closed Loop, Injecting Strong Momentum into Strengthening the Beautiful Life Ecosystem.
On the same day, Sirrem officially launched its Brain-Computer Interface Cloud Rehabilitation Platform, aiming to solve the long-standing issue in rehabilitation medicine known as "out of sight once discharged." The core breakthrough of this platform lies in breaking down the service barriers between hospital walls and home environments. "The biggest pain point in home rehabilitation is that patients, after being discharged, cannot continuously receive professional and timely evaluations and guidance akin to those provided within hospitals," pointed out Meng Mingqiang, founder of Sirrem. This new cloud platform has built a "digital bridge" that allows rehabilitation physicians and technology from tertiary hospitals to "reach" into patients' homes. Doctors can conduct online consultations via the cloud platform, providing real-time assessments of patients' rehabilitation progress and offering precise guidance.
This model not only solves the problem of uneven distribution of professional resources but also brings significant economic benefits. In the future, with its Liangxi headquarters as the base, the company will deepen cooperation with institutions such as Wuxi Rehabilitation Hospital, using hospitals as nodes to extend rehabilitation services to communities and cover family settings.
On the same day, Liangxi District also organized a closed-door symposium for enterprises in the brain-computer interface (BCI) ecosystem, bringing together representatives from upstream and downstream industries, including leading companies in neural electrodes and BCI-specific chip development. Representatives from the government, enterprises, research institutions, and investment groups engaged in in-depth discussions on key topics such as industrial clustering, scenario openness, clinical transformation, and policy support, reaching a consensus. Li Zhengxiong, Executive Director of Fure Investment, an existing shareholder of Sirrem, stated: "We have always focused on brain-computer interface projects driven by clinical needs. The forward-thinking and highly efficient actions demonstrated by Liangxi District in planning for future industries, along with the region’s comprehensive industry supporting services, provide fertile ground for enterprise development."
In recent years, Liangxi District has accelerated the attraction of upstream and downstream supporting enterprises by leveraging the settlement of leading companies. It has promoted the complementary coexistence of brain-computer interface technology with artificial intelligence, embodied intelligent robots, smart sensors, and other industries, while actively expanding diversified application scenarios such as "brain-computer + health care," "brain-computer + rehabilitation," "brain-computer + science and education," and "brain-computer + industry." Going forward, Liangxi District and Liangxi Technology City will continue to bridge the "last mile" for technology to move from the lab to everyday life. They aim to create a distinctive and China-leading innovation ecosystem for brain-computer interfaces and set a benchmark for rehabilitation applications, empowering people's livelihoods through industrial clustering and contributing Liangxi’s strength to the high-quality development of future industries.
