Innovation, Digitalization, and Organizational Capability Become the Keys to Transformation

Li Yi, General Manager of Huawei Public Cloud SolutionsThis indicates that digital healthcare is actively accelerating the pace of transformation within the medical industry, making digital transformation an urgent imperative for healthcare enterprises. In the future, Huawei will continue to provide robust support for digital transformation, fostering co-creation, sharing, and mutual success with partners to accelerate the intelligent upgrading of the healthcare industry.

Lei Wanyun, Chairman of the China Enterprise Digitalization AllianceSharing on “Huawei Cloud: Empowering Intelligence with Data to Drive Innovative Development in the Healthcare and Medical Industry.” He believes that enterprise digital transformation fundamentally encompasses three major categories: digitalization of internal operational management, digitalization of external business models, and digitalization of industry platform ecosystems. These correspond to internal vertical integration driven by a value-based incentive system for employees, external horizontal integration focused on winning customers through personalized services, and end-to-end integration fostering an innovation ecosystem through strategic partnerships. The data-driven C2B2B business and service model will ultimately serve as the key enabler in building a smart healthcare ecosystem.

The widespread adoption of new technologies will integrate healthcare delivery, health insurance, pharmaceuticals, and general wellness into a novel medical ecosystem, subjecting the entire landscape to profound transformation. In this regard,Chen Jinxiong, Chairman of the Electronic Medical Records and Electronic Health Professional Committee of the Chinese Medical Information Association, delivered a keynote report titled “Digital Transformation of Healthcare in the Age of Intelligence.” Director Chen stated that future healthcare development will shift from extensive growth to connotative development, from fee-for-service to value-based payment, from selling equipment and consumables to providing medical services, and from pursuing efficiency through volume to achieving efficiency through management.

At the meetingZhang Dayong, Director of Medical Solutions Planning at HuaweiShared the “Huawei Digital Healthcare Solution,” detailing how Huawei leverages a single digital foundation to support four key business scenarios—Smart Health Administration, Smart Medical Insurance, Smart Disease Control and Prevention, and Smart Hospitals—thereby creating a new paradigm for digital transformation in healthcare through an “endpoint-edge-cloud” architecture.

Platform Economy and Platform Models Are the Primary Practical Approaches for Digital Transformation and Implementation

The primary approaches to digital transformation and implementation are the platform economy and platform models. For industry leaders, it is essential to transform into industry-specific and social platforms, ultimately establishing an ecosystem chain to maintain their leading position in the sector. For small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the industry, the goal should be to become specialized partners on these industry platforms, securing a critical role in the platform’s value chain and sustaining ecological collaboration.

At the conference, all attendees discussed future trends in China’s digital health sector and explored comprehensive, efficiently coordinated medical cloud services. They shared their perspectives on key topics, including the pain points and opportunities in current healthcare digital transformation, enterprises’ own digital development strategies, and the joint construction of a medical cloud ecosystem through “cloud-to-cloud” collaboration among companies.

Wang Jun, a partner at Gengmei, highlighted the pain point of data silos in the medical aesthetics industry and expressed hope for collaborative efforts by all stakeholders to advance digitalization in the sector. Liu Bangchang, Senior Vice President of Miao Health, stated that data needs to be open and fluid, and expressed the hope that relevant legislation and standard-setting will be further promoted in the future to facilitate data integration. Xie Wei, General Manager of Xinglin Kangyun, believed that digital innovation solutions must achieve a closed-loop business model within an appropriate commercial framework.

Li Fangzhou, Strategic Vice President of Youlai Doctor, shared his vision for the scenario-based ecosystem surrounding healthcare enterprises’ migration to the cloud. Yu You, CTO of Longhui Information, argued that cloud-cloud synergy should be achieved by leveraging specific scenarios to bridge public and private clouds. Ma Longbiao, Deputy General Manager of the Platform Data Center Division and Technical Director at Jiahemeikang, discussed challenges hospitals face in information management, such as hardware maintenance costs and platform complexity, and proposed ideas for deeper future collaboration in areas including platforms, knowledge bases, big data, and AI.

Looking ahead, as healthcare digitalization continues to mature, cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and big data will inevitably be transformed into clinically viable solutions, truly enhancing quality and efficiency while facilitating business innovation.
