Amador Bioscience, a global leader in translational science and clinical pharmacology CRO services, announced that Dr. Wonkyung Byon has joined its clinical pharmacology brand, A2PG, as Senior Vice President, reporting to Dr. Sunny Chapel, CSO of Amador Bioscience and CEO of A2PG.

Prior to joining Amador Bioscience, Dr. Byon spent fifteen years at Pfizer in the United States, where she served as Senior Director of Quantitative Pharmacology and Head of the Inflammation and Immunology Team. With deep expertise in clinical pharmacology and quantitative pharmacology across multiple therapeutic areas, Dr. Byon published a seminal paper in 2013 as the first author on best practices and guidance for establishing population modeling. This publication now serves as a key reference for the development of relevant guidelines by the U.S. FDA and China’s Center for Drug Evaluation (CDE).
Dr. Byon earned her Bachelor of Pharmacy and Master of Clinical Pharmacy degrees from Seoul National University in South Korea, and received her Ph.D. in Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology from the University of Minnesota in the United States in 2007. To date, Dr. Byon has published nearly 30 papers and chaired multiple international conferences on quantitative pharmacology. She was also invited to teach the course “Model-Informed Drug Development” at the College of Pharmacy, University of Florida.
