Compass: First China Young Doctors Minimally Invasive Ablation Skills Competition Launched

With the advancement of global medical science and technology, minimally invasive techniques such as ablation are playing an increasingly important role, emerging as a powerful new “weapon” in tumor treatment.

To further unleash the creativity of young physicians and to cultivate and recruit a core team of young specialists in minimally invasive ablation, the Interventional Minimally Invasive Therapy Professional Committee of the China Medical Education Association, the Tumor Minimally Invasive Therapy Professional Committee of the China Anti-Cancer Association, and the Asian Society of Cryotherapy, in conjunction with Nanjing Yigao Microwave System Engineering Co., Ltd., have jointly launched the “National Young Physicians’ Minimally Invasive Ablation Professional Skills Competition.”

The competition breaks away from traditional evaluation models by establishing a professional mentorship team to provide one-on-one exclusive training for advancing contestants.

Hereby, we extend our sincerest invitation for manuscript submissions to all young physicians.Seeking the “You” with ideals, competence, and a sense of responsibility.

1. Call for Papers

① All submitted entries are aggregated by region (North China, Central China, South China, East China, and West China).

② The panel of judges will vote to select the winning contestants to advance to the Challenge Round.

③ Five winners from each of the five major regions, for a total of 25 individuals

2. Invitational Tournament

① Five regional divisions, each conducting advancement competitions

② Winning contestants will join the mentors’ teams for one-on-one guidance.

③ One winner per region, for a total of 5 winners

3. Online Competition

① In addition to the five winners, the works of all other contestants will be uploaded online for public voting.

② The contestant with the highest popularity will be awarded the title of “Online Popularity King,” invited to attend the grand finals in person, and serve as a member of the judging panel.

4. National Grand Finals: The Ultimate Showdown

Young physicians under the age of 45 specializing in minimally invasive ablation (including microwave, cryoablation, radiofrequency, laser, etc.), with no restriction on tumor types

① The content of the submission must be consistent with the theme of the call for papers;

② Manuscripts must be uploaded in PDF (or PPT) format and limited to 1,000 words or fewer. Content must include: name/hospital/department/photo, disclosure of any conflicts of interest related to this study, treatment objectives, treatment methods, treatment outcomes, conclusions, and references/supporting evidence;

③ Clear thinking, rigorous logic, and fluent writing; case data must be authentic and reliable, with accurate diagnosis and treatment;

④ No one's interests or privacy shall be infringed; participants shall be responsible for the legality of the content provided;

⑤ Participants shall abide by the competition rules and accept the evaluation results; the final right of interpretation resides with the competition organizer.
