Recently, Suzhou Arcas BioTech Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Arcas BioTech”) announced the completion ofRMB 20 Million Angel Round Financing. This round of financing was led byOasis CapitalExclusive Investment; Funds to Be Used for the CompanyDevelopment of high-throughput 3D microfluidic chips, and multi-pipeline research on biological microspheres and drug-loaded microsphere formulations, andConstruction of the Company's R&D Centeretc.

Akso Biotechnology, founded in 2021 by three entrepreneurs from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Tsinghua University, is a global leader in high-throughput 3D microfluidic chip technology. Driven by the dual engines of microfluidics R&D and industrial application, Akso Biotechnology is committed to exploring and expanding innovative application scenarios for high-throughput microfluidic technologies, breaking through the efficiency bottlenecks of traditional microfluidic chips, achieving on-chip scalable mass production of high-performance microspheres, and reducing production costs.

Chen Jiake, Co-founder of Arcasso BioStatement: We extend our sincere gratitude to Steppe Capital for its steadfast support. In recent years, microbeads, despite their minute size, have garnered increasing attention and investment as one of the 35 critical “chokepoint” core technologies in the fields of biology and pharmaceuticals. We are deeply honored and feel a profound sense of responsibility that Akeso Biologics’ innovative technological approach has been recognized by professional investment institutions. Since its inception, Akeso Biologics has been driven by the vision of “building a chip factory for the intelligent manufacturing of high-performance microbeads,” successfully overcoming multiple key technical challenges related to chip materials, structures, and fluid dynamics. Moving forward, we will accelerate the application-oriented research and development of various types of microbeads, establishing a comprehensive proprietary technology system covering the entire chain of design, development, and production for both biological and pharmaceutical microbeads, with the “microfluidic on-chip factory” serving as our foundational infrastructure platform.

Head of Investment, STEPPE CAPITALStatement: Microfluidics represents the convergence of materials science and digital technology, holding immense potential as a starting point for biological exploration. The Acasso Bio team members first met at Tsinghua University. Jiake has been deeply engaged in the biological field for many years; he once sent cold outreach letters to over 100 companies for a single experiment, ultimately receiving only two responses. Biological innovation is not a matter of sudden inspiration or miraculous breakthroughs, but rather the result of long-term belief, perseverance, and relentless effort. STEPPE CAPITAL looks forward to growing alongside the most resilient and adaptable team of this era.
