The name “DeeCamp” is derived from Foo Camp, an unconference historically organized by O’Reilly, in which attendees fully designed the agenda, topics, and content. DeeCamp adopts a similar naming convention to establish a Deep Learning Summer Camp that serves students and fully fosters their initiative. It features unified coursework and project arrangements while also drawing on the unconference model by empowering students to self-organize, self-manage, and showcase their abilities.

DeeCamp is a non-profit AI training program designed to enhance the practical, industry-application experience of university AI talent and promote deep integration among academia, research, and industry. Since its launch by Sinovation Ventures in 2017, DeeCamp has received over 20,000 applications from more than 1,000 universities worldwide, with over 1,300 participants successfully completing the program.
DeeCamp AI Training Camp has preliminarily established a scalable and replicable talent development system for applied AI professionals, anchored by creative team-based engineering projects, supported by systematic knowledge training that bridges the gap between academia and industry, and focused on future technological transformation and business development.
