Hisense Medical Achieves Another Milestone! On April 25, Hisense Medical held its 2022 New Product Launch Event, officially unveiling the world’s first 55-inch Mini-LED medical endoscopic display and the fifth-generation “Perioperative Full-Business-Process-Management-Based” integrated smart operating room solution. The 55-inch Mini-LED medical endoscopic display delivers exceptional depth perception and three-dimensionality, effectively addressing the industry pain point where bleeding points in dark fields appear black with poor layer differentiation during surgical procedures. This innovation pioneers a new era of high-dynamic-range endoscopic display within the industry.

Endoscopic displays are indispensable equipment for minimally invasive surgery, hailed as the “crown jewel” due to their status as the most technologically challenging category among medical displays. The image quality of endoscopic displays directly impacts surgical efficiency and can even influence a surgeon’s assessment of lesions. After eight years of technological accumulation and ten months of research and development, Hisense Medical has launched the world’s first 55-inch Mini-LED medical endoscopic display.

Chen Yongjian, Assistant Deputy General Manager of Qingdao Hisense Medical Equipment Co., Ltd., introduced that the product adopts Hisense’s self-developed Mini-LED backlight module, achieving breakthroughs in contrast ratio, color gamut, and detail presentation. With a contrast ratio as high as 200,000:1, it reveals more deep-tissue details, particularly within narrow and elongated cavities, significantly enhancing image layering and effectively assisting physicians in identifying lesions and surrounding environments. The product achieves an industry-leading color gamut coverage of 85%, with 100% coverage of the red spectrum under the BT.2020 standard. This perfectly meets various red-tone requirements in endoscopic environments, effectively addressing surgical pain points such as dark-field bleeding points appearing black and poor image layering, thereby reducing surgical risks. Furthermore, its independent multi-color adjustment and image enhancement functions further improve the monitor’s detail performance.

“The launch of Hisense’s Mini-LED medical endoscopic display has significantly improved the visibility of extensive bleeding points and neural structures during surgical procedures, enabling authentic visualization of intracavitary tissues and achieving outcomes comparable to those of open clinical surgeries. This effectively reduces visual fatigue among our surgeons and enhances surgical efficiency,” stated Dong Qian, President of the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University, who shared his firsthand experience and gave the product high acclaim at the launch event.

Meanwhile, Hisense’s fifth-generation integrated smart operating room solution, “based on whole-process perioperative business management,” made its debut at the press conference. Reportedly, this solution has undergone multiple iterations and upgrades, integrating five major systems and covering 23 functions around the operational workflows of the operating room department. It pioneers intelligent, unified platform management for smart operating rooms in the industry, enhancing surgical efficiency while ensuring safety.

“Hisense’s medical industry represents another key strategic direction for our industrial transformation, built upon Hisense Group’s deep technological expertise and solid industrial foundation in image processing, digital processing, and intelligent interaction technologies,” said Chen Weiqiang, Senior Vice President of Hisense Group. He stated that over the past two decades, while maintaining a global leading position in its B2C sectors centered on televisions and home appliances, Hisense has continuously advanced its industrial transformation and upgrading. The company has successfully incubated and expanded numerous new B2B business segments, including optical communications, commercial multi-split air conditioning systems, and intelligent transportation. Hisense Medical is one of these ventures. To further accelerate the development of its medical industry, Hisense Group’s Board of Directors has approved an additional RMB 500 million in funding for preliminary medical technology research and industrialization.

It is reported that since establishing its medical equipment company in 2014, Hisense has continuously launched innovative products in medical application fields such as medical displays, medical image processing, smart hospital system solutions, and digital operating room solutions. The company has been committed to optimizing healthcare resources and upgrading medical services, while continuously empowering primary healthcare institutions to bring tangible convenience to patients. Represented by the Hisense CAS (Computer-Assisted Surgery) system, its precision medicine industry has currently served more than 200 hospitals across China and nearly 30,000 patients. Hisense’s HD60 Taishan series of color Doppler ultrasound products have filled a gap in Shandong Province and are being used clinically in over 30 tertiary hospitals.

Today, Hisense’s world-first 55-inch Mini-LED medical endoscopic display and its integrated smart operating room solution based on “whole-process perioperative business management” have once again broken through industry ceilings. The launch of these two landmark products will also accelerate the realization of Hisense’s corporate vision to become a leading domestic provider of medical imaging equipment and systemic solutions.
