In March 2026, Yin Tao from the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (hereinafter referred to as "IBME")/Liu ZhipengThe team has jointly developed a重磅新品with Shenzhen Delica Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Delica").High-Performance Transcranial Magnetic Stimulator Obtains Medical Device Registration Certificate (Guangdong Medical Device Approval No. 20262090320), officially launched.

This product is based on the results of the National Natural Science Foundation's scientific instrument project and the Ministry of Science and Technology's key R&D special project. This is a landmark achievement in the clinical transformation of advanced medical devices for neural modulation at the Institute of Medical Engineering, and also a benchmark result of the deep integration of industry, academia, and research between the Institute of Medical Engineering and Delica. The Institute of Medical Engineering, as a national-level research institution in the field of biomedical engineering in China, has profound expertise in the research and development of neuromodulation and high-end medical devices. Delica, a national "little giant" enterprise specializing in the brain science field, has been deeply engaged in the research and development of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment for cranial diseases for over two decades. Its products are used in more than 10,000 hospitals across China and over 5,000 hospitals overseas, with core technologies receiving international authoritative certification. The new product is equipped with a closed-loop toolchain for clinical and research neuromodulation, relying on a multi-paradigm integration platform to achieve full-scene coverage of neuromodulation. The product can meet diverse needs such as clinical treatment, rehabilitation training, and brain science research. It features upgrades in core performance areas like precise positioning, multi-target stimulation, and non-invasive deep regulation, further reducing reliance on imports. This provides high-quality, China-produced equipment support for the diagnosis and treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders and brain science research.

This research was supported by the Major Collaborative Innovation Project of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences' Innovation System for Medical and Health Science and Technology, "Key Technologies and Applications of Medical Robots and Bioartificial Organs" (Project No.: 2021-I2M-1-058), among other projects. It was jointly developed under the leadership of Researcher Yin Tao (a scientist in the field of neuromodulation) from the Tianjin Key Laboratory of Neuromodulation and Repair and the Center for Neuromodulation and Medical Imaging Research at the Institute of Medical Engineering.
