The deep integration of next-generation information technologies—such as the Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, big data, blockchain, and artificial intelligence—with the healthcare sector has made digitalization and smart transformation imperative for both online and offline hospitals seeking sustainable long-term development.
Guided by policy, the state is vigorously advancing a new round of healthcare and pharmaceutical system reforms to address issues such as difficulty and high costs in accessing medical care at their source; it has launched the Healthy China Strategy to promote a shift from a disease-treatment-centered approach to a health-centered one. Traditional hospital operational systems struggle to meet the policy requirements of this new phase, making smart technologies an important means to optimize resource allocation and extend the hospital service chain. The Internet + Smart Hospital Innovation Development Forum invited Mr. Song Xin, President of the Medical and Health Industry Branch of the China Information Association, to share insights on how policies facilitate the coordinated development of the “trinity” model.
From the demand side, residents’ expectations for medical and health services have shifted from simply “receiving effective treatment” to “enabling a positive care experience,” compelling smart hospitals—integrating smart healthcare, smart management, and smart services—to continuously enhance their service capabilities. In the area of smart management, Mr. Xiang Peng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Vice President of Jiande First People’s Hospital, shared insights on the current state of hospital informatization construction and the future direction of hospital informatization.
Services provided by internet hospitals, which partially overlap with smart healthcare services, basically cover the entire treatment process, forming a comprehensive service system from registration and consultation to post-illness management. However, issues such as underutilization after establishment, data interoperability and information security construction, and talent shortages remain severe.
On the afternoon of June 17, 2022, the Internet + Smart Hospital Innovation Development Forum will be held online. Industry experts and representatives from innovative enterprises such as BOE Health, Haoxinqing, Naiterui, and Haihu Medical Technology Group will gather to focus on industry trends and discuss industrial development.

Leveraging Internet Hospitals as a Platform to Explore New Pathways for Smart Healthcare Services
In 2022, internet healthcare entered a new decade. Over the past ten years, internet healthcare has played a significant role in improving the efficiency of medical consultations. From appointment registration to online consultations and internet-based diagnosis and treatment, from services covering single steps to end-to-end solutions, and from local pilot initiatives to recognition and encouragement through top-level design, it has become an integral part of the healthcare service system. At the forum,BOE Health will introduce its internet-based services supported by its proprietary hospital network and IoT device systemsHospitals and How to Empower Full-Course Disease Management Services for Prevention, Treatment, and Rehabilitation;Haoxinqing’s shared initiatives will originate from specialized mental health care, leveraging platform advantages to integrate smart devices and digital therapeutics, thereby providing innovative solutions for the psychological healthcare and wellness industries.

Leveraging Internet Hospitals as Infrastructure to Drive Digital Transformation in the Healthcare Industry
According to statistics from the National Health Commission, as of June 2021, China had over 1,600 internet hospitals, initially establishing an integrated online-offline medical service model. At the forum, Knightery will share how it helps pharmaceutical companies, chain pharmacies, medical institutions, health checkup centers, and other big health enterprises build internet hospitals and create regional clusters of internet healthcare industries. Haihu Medical Technology is building a one-stop comprehensive internet healthcare ecosystem through the Haicheng Digital Medical Industrial Park and Haiyi Cloud, assisting enterprises in achieving model innovation, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement.
