Fangzhou Jianke and Boehringer Ingelheim Launch Atrial Fibrillation Anticoagulation Program to Build a Digital AF Management Ecosystem

Atrial fibrillation (AF), also known as auricular fibrillation, is one of the most common arrhythmias. AF-related complications, such as stroke, dementia, heart failure, and peripheral arterial embolism, are the leading causes of mortality and disability among patients with AF, imposing a substantial burden on individuals, families, and society. June 6, 2022, marked the 10th “China Atrial Fibrillation Day.” To raise public awareness of AF and promote better self-management of the condition, Fangzhou Jianke, in partnership with Boehringer Ingelheim, launched the “Optimal Anticoagulation for Peace of Mind” initiative.

The inaugural event of the “Full Anticoagulation, Peace-of-Mind Protection” initiative—a themed live stream—was launched on June 6. Fangzhou Jianke Group and Boehringer Ingelheim aim to help patients acquire more professional knowledge about atrial fibrillation (AF) prevention and treatment through online sharing by leading Chinese cardiologists. This effort seeks to promote healthy behaviors and lifestyles, provide interventions and behavioral guidance, effectively enhance users’ health literacy, facilitate behavior change, and ultimately achieve the goals of prevention and improvement. This series of live streams also represents a key component of Fangzhou Jianke Group’s commitment to delivering high-quality health education to the general public.

“Full Anticoagulation, Peace-of-Mind Protection” Initiative to Provide Atrial Fibrillation Patients with a Comprehensive Chronic Disease Management Service Package. Through this service package, patients can access chronic disease management services such as physician follow-ups and medication reminders, thereby improving treatment adherence. Clinicians can also obtain critical evidence for adjusting treatment plans during this process.

Fangzhou Jianke and Boehringer Ingelheim aim to jointly explore online education on atrial fibrillation (AF) and out-of-hospital patient management through their newly launched campaign, “Comprehensive Anticoagulation for Peace of Mind.” Meanwhile, the Hospital-to-Home (H2H) digital chronic disease service will establish a closed-loop AF management system integrating “medications + devices + physicians + services,” thereby improving the quality of life for AF patients and alleviating the socioeconomic burden associated with atrial fibrillation.

As a leading smart health service provider in China, Fangzhou Jianke Group has been dedicated to advancing internet-based chronic disease management services since its establishment in 2009, striving to become the largest chronic disease service platform in the country. The group has currently launched five major business lines: internet hospital services, pharmaceutical services, chronic disease management, innovative payment solutions, and an omni-media service center. It has constructed a patient-centric, closed-loop chronic disease service ecosystem encompassing “medical care, pharmaceuticals, patients, insurance, and health knowledge,” and has innovatively established an H2H (Hospital-to-Home) smart healthcare business ecosystem to provide intelligent, integrated health management services to the public. The “Comprehensive Anticoagulation, Peace-of-Mind Protection” initiative, launched in collaboration with Boehringer Ingelheim, represents not only a significant step by Fangzhou Jianke Group to deliver more comprehensive services to patients with atrial fibrillation but also another proactive exploration to enrich its chronic disease management service closed loop.

Against the backdrop of China’s aging population and the trend of chronic diseases affecting younger demographics, Ark Health Group will continue to uphold its mission of “Making Everyone Healthier.” By giving full consideration to the specific needs of patients with chronic conditions and integrating more high-quality resources, the Group will continuously enhance its chronic disease management services through online consultations at its internet hospital and health education initiatives. This effort aims to extend the benefits of smart healthcare to a broader population of chronic disease patients, thereby contributing to the Healthy China strategy.
