Leveraging the biomedical industry ecosystem and the development philosophy of biotechnological innovation in Guangzhou Development District, and seizing new opportunities in the digital economy and the digital transformation of the healthcare industry, Fangzhou Jianke has signed an agreement with Guangzhou Development District to establish the “Fangzhou Jianke Digital Healthcare Industry Headquarters” project, under the joint promotion of the Huangpu District Committee and Government of Guangzhou and the Administrative Committee of Guangzhou Development District.

As the only top-tier “Internet + Healthcare” enterprise headquartered in Guangdong Province, Fangzhou Jianke has been deeply engaged in the internet-based chronic disease service industry for 13 years. Adhering to a patient-centric approach over the years, it has established a closed-loop internet chronic disease service ecosystem integrating “medical care, pharmaceuticals, patients, insurance, and health information,” supported by its internet hospital, online pharmacy, chronic disease management service center, health new media center, and innovative payment services.

Leveraging cutting-edge technological capabilities—including a leading data engine, AI applications, and hybrid cloud-edge computing—along with extensive experience in chronic disease management, Fangzhou Jianke will establish business operations encompassing a digital smart healthcare management system, a global pharmaceutical supply chain, innovative healthcare payment solutions, and new medical media. By doing so, it aims to build a digital health ecosystem that integrates collaboration with emerging digital health enterprises, smart chronic disease management, and online pharmaceutical sales, while working synergistically with the government to create a hub for multidisciplinary talent spanning healthcare, pharmaceuticals, finance, and information technology.

Xu Tao, Vice Chairman of the Conference, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Deputy Director of Guangzhou Laboratory, and Director of Bio-Island Laboratory, stated, “Major projects in the bioindustry will propel the Guangzhou Development District toward becoming a Life Sciences Cooperation Zone for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and a world-leading R&D center for biopharmaceuticals and biosafety.”

“The project will achieve multi-dimensional development by integrating finance, technological innovation, social insurance, commercial insurance, healthcare, big data, artificial intelligence, and information technology,” said Xie Fangmin. He stated that over the next decade, the “Fangzhou Jianke Digital Healthcare Industry Headquarters” project will effectively expand the group’s business segments, link existing and future operations, build a leading digital healthcare service brand in China, customize digital health solutions with accompanying insurance and financial services for users, and help improve residents’ health literacy and happiness index.

Currently, the domestic circulation is unleashing strong potential for domestic demand, with significant development opportunities such as the digitalization of the healthcare industry continuously emerging. Driven by multiple factors including government encouragement, technological advancements, and the expansion of data scale, the environment for medical digitalization and intelligence has become increasingly mature. Leveraging the technical advantages of internet platforms, internet healthcare companies are becoming a core capability in strengthening the industrial chain.

Guangzhou Development District has already become the core hub of Guangzhou’s biomedical industry. It is accelerating its efforts to seize the global high ground in biomedical development, attracting innovative biomedical projects from both domestic and international markets, while the integration of industry and urban development is speeding up the upgrading of the big health sector. Leveraging the agglomeration effect of the biomedical industry in Guangzhou Development District, Fangzhou Jianke will collaborate with numerous hub-type projects to pool high-end innovative biomedical resources, actively promote the advancement of the digital healthcare industry, serve more patients with chronic diseases, drive integrated industrial development, and accelerate the implementation of the Healthy China strategy.
