Recently, Beijing Phoenix Smart Internet Hospital, under the Phoenix Medical Group, was approved by the Beijing Municipal Health Commission and obtained a Medical Institution Practice License. It has become the first company in Beijing to secure an independently established internet hospital license, marking a significant step for Phoenix Medical in the field of internet healthcare. This achievement signifies that Phoenix Medical has successfully closed the loop from offline physical medical institution operations to integrated online-offline medical service operations.

Beijing Satellite TV reporters also covered Beijing Phoenix Internet Hospital:

Internet healthcare has transcended the temporal and spatial constraints of traditional medical care, giving rise to a novel “contactless” service model. This model plays a pivotal role in promoting equitable access to medical resources, enhancing healthcare efficiency, and optimizing the patient experience, thereby benefiting patients, physicians, and hospitals alike. Particularly since the onset of the pandemic, internet hospitals have facilitated reasonable healthcare-seeking behavior by offering online free consultations and follow-up visits, enabling medical insurance payments, and providing medication delivery services. These initiatives have greatly alleviated patients’ urgent needs for medical care, establishing internet healthcare as one of the primary channels for accessing medical services.

Since the advent of internet-based healthcare, the national government has continuously issued policies to regulate online medical services. This year, Beijing also introduced supporting policy documents that clarify regulatory frameworks and government licensing requirements for internet hospitals, significantly promoting the healthy development of the city’s internet healthcare industry. Meanwhile, the Beijing Municipal Healthcare Security Administration has actively worked to refine supporting policies by including online follow-up consultations within the coverage of the city’s basic medical insurance. This move has not only facilitated patient access to medical care during the COVID-19 pandemic but also accelerated the adoption of internet-based medical services, ushering in new development opportunities for the internet healthcare industry!

Beijing Phoenix Smart Internet Hospital, backed by a tertiary general hospital, currently has 67 online physicians, 72% of whom are associate chief or chief physicians, ensuring high professional diagnostic and treatment standards. The hospital has established a comprehensive closed-loop service system for internet-based healthcare services and a chronic disease management system. Its health service platform has been in operation for nearly three years, accumulating 310,000 registered users, providing 23,000 online consultations and 15,000 home nursing visits, and serving over 7,000 chronic disease management members.

In the future, Phoenix Smart Internet Hospital will uphold the philosophy and spirit of Phoenix Medical Group, continue to adhere to the corporate culture of “Care, Innovation, Perseverance, and Sharing,” strive to create more inclusive and diversified healthcare service offerings, further enhance service quality, safeguard the well-being of hundreds of millions of families, and contribute to the Healthy China initiative!
