Co-established by the Jiangsu Medical Association and Suzhou New District, the base will leverage the innovative cluster of the medical device industry in Suzhou New District to gather high-level talent from across the province’s medical sector. Focusing on the translation of new products and technologies, the evaluation and cultivation of high-value patents, international exchanges and cooperation, and specialized research support, it aims to build a platform for translating scientific and technological achievements in Jiangsu’s medical device industry. This platform will radiate across the Yangtze River Delta region and comprehensively empower the development of the high-end medical device innovation cluster in Suzhou New District.
Suzhou New District signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Jiangsu Medical Association; Suzhou High-Tech Achievement Transformation Co., Ltd., the Institute of Medical-Engineering Interdisciplinary Technology at the Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute, and the Southeast University Suzhou Medical Device Research Institute also signed strategic cooperation agreements.
In the future, Suzhou New District will collaborate with various institutions and resources to build more innovation platforms, amplify its advantages in technological innovation, and accelerate the translation of scientific and technological achievements.

The forum specially invited Teng Gaojun, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and President of Zhongda Hospital Affiliated to Southeast University, to deliver a keynote address on the theme of “Clinical Demand-Driven Innovation and Translation in Interventional Devices and Technologies.”
During the guest sharing session, Yang Hongbo and Chen Yunfei delivered insightful presentations on the themes of “Prioritizing Engineering to Promote the Translation of Scientific and Technological Achievements” and “Innovative Practices and Reflections on Medical-Engineering Interdisciplinary Collaboration,” respectively.。
During the roundtable forum, moderated by Jiang Han, Secretary-General of the Jiangsu Provincial Association of Science and Technology Business Incubators, four experts, including Yang Xiaobing, Director of the Biomedical Department at the Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute, engaged in discussions on the translation of scientific and technological achievements in the medical device industry and how to better promote the industrialization of high-end medical equipment that is independently controllable.
At the on-site release session, four medical experts—Dong Xieping, Honorary Director of the Department of Orthopedics at Jiangxi Provincial People’s Hospital; Zhang Guoxin, Director of the Department of Gastroenterology at Jiangsu Province People’s Hospital; Ni Xinye, Vice President of Changzhou No. 2 People’s Hospital; and Tang Chunbo, Director of the Department of Implantology at Jiangsu Provincial Stomatological Hospital—announced new achievements in medical science and technology.Tianhong Shengjie, Kangduo Robot, Kesaier Medical, Weizhi Medical, and Maidenuo Medical—five medical device enterprises from the High-Tech Zone—released their innovative products and technical requirements, sparking lively exchanges and matchmaking between presenters and attendees.
