Zhang Wei, CEO of Huawei’s Sports and Health Division and President of the Smart Wearables and Sports Health Product Line at Huawei Consumer BG, stated: “Since 2020, Huawei’s smart wearables business has obtained four medical device registration certificates in China. The HUAWEI WATCH 3 Pro new features added ECG analysis capabilities, with its ECG Analysis Prompt Software receiving Class II medical device registration certification from the National Medical Products Administration* (*Medical Device Registration Certificate No.: Yue Xie Zhu Zhun 20212211827). By lightly touching the side electrode of the watch with a fingertip, users can collect a 30-second electrocardiogram signal. This data, processed by the Huawei ECG Analysis Prompt Software, generates an ECG report that screens for adult sinus rhythm, atrial fibrillation, premature ventricular contractions, and premature atrial contractions, helping users monitor their heart health.”

Meanwhile, the HUAWEI WATCH 3 Pro new has joined the vascular health research initiative launched by the China International Exchange and Promotion Association for Medical and Healthcare, supporting arteriosclerosis risk screening, providing professional health recommendations, and enabling proactive at-home vascular health management.

The Huawei WATCH 3 Pro new also supports heart rate monitoring and body temperature measurement.1, Scientific sleep monitoring and blood oxygen saturation monitoring, high-altitude blood oxygen monitoring2...and other features, while participating in the cardiac health and sleep apnea research initiatives launched by the Chinese PLA General Hospital (301 Hospital), as well as the respiratory health research jointly initiated by Tongji Hospital affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and the Chinese PLA General Hospital (301 Hospital). This contributes to a comprehensive health management ecosystem ranging from physical health data monitoring to health risk alerts, delivering more professional and robust health protection.

In addition, the HUAWEI WATCH 3 Pro new supports fall detection and SOS features. Users can add family members as friends and authorize them to access their sports, health, and location data through the Family Space in the Huawei Health app. This allows users to monitor their family members’ sports and health status in real time. In case of emergencies such as accidental falls, designated emergency contacts will receive urgent phone calls and SMS notifications, enabling them to obtain the family member’s location immediately and provide timely assistance.

A New Wearable Connectivity Experience! HarmonyOS 3 Empowers Smart Living

The HUAWEI WATCH 3 Pro new runs on HarmonyOS 3. Leveraging the distributed capabilities of HarmonyOS, it enables seamless collaboration across different devices to form a Super Device. When paired with a smartphone, the watch allows for quick remote camera control; when integrated with large-screen fitness and health apps, it enables rapid initiation of workout sessions; and when connected with ecosystem fitness equipment—such as treadmills, walking pads, and indoor cycles—it facilitates efficient exercise tracking. This breaks down barriers between multiple devices, fully realizing the all-scenario connectivity advantages of HarmonyOS.
