On September 3, the “Second China Ultrasound Medicine Development Conference,” themed “Building Consensus, Pursuing Development, and Strengthening Grassroots Capacity,” opened in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province. At the core exhibition area of the conference, Hisense Medical made its debut with solutions for remote ultrasound and the construction of digital minimally invasive interventional departments. This showcase highlighted the design philosophy and blueprint for the future multi-element integration of ultrasound interventional operating rooms, enabling personalized, modular design, customization, and fit-out. It demonstrated to the industry innovative achievements in upgrading from products to comprehensive solutions, as well as new pathways for the integrated development of the ultrasound industry.

On-site, Hisense Medical established a remote ultrasound application scenario, with one end connected to a primary care hospital. Ultrasound physicians performed comprehensive examinations of the “patient,” including the abdomen and heart. Through a cloud-based remote consultation platform, ultrasound images were transmitted in real time to specialists at a tertiary Grade A hospital for collaborative remote diagnosis. Experts, including Yang Aiping, Director of the Capacity Building and Continuing Education Center of the National Health Commission, visited the Hisense Medical exhibition area to experience the solution firsthand and expressed high recognition for the advancements in domestically produced medical equipment solutions.

During the rapid development phase of the internet, Hisense Medical independently built an ultrasound telemedicine platform based on medical consortia, enabling real-time remote ultrasound diagnosis, remote teaching, and remote quality control. This platform has been widely applied in primary hospitals in Qingdao and the Berlin Town Health Center in Pingyi County, Shandong Province, among other locations. Leveraging its technical expertise and practical experience in remote ultrasound, Hisense Medical led the drafting of the Group Standard “Technical Specifications for Remote Ultrasound Diagnostic Information Systems,” which was officially released in July. As the first group standard in the industry pertaining to remote ultrasound, it will play a significant role in diagnosing ultrasound images in primary hospitals and stabilizing local healthcare systems.

Leveraging the advantages of ultrasound equipment and digital operating rooms, Hisense Medical has recently rolled out a new construction solution for digital minimally invasive interventional departments. This integrated solution combines ultrasound-guided interventional diagnosis and treatment technologies with computer networking, video signal processing, automatic control, and structured cabling technologies.

It is reported that, in response to the increasing complexity of procedures in interventional ultrasound departments, single-modality image guidance can no longer meet the demands for precise ablation. The construction plan for digital minimally invasive interventional departments synchronously displays multi-modal imaging signals—including ultrasound, CT, and MRI—within the operating room. This enables the performance of more complex and precise ablation surgeries under multi-modal image guidance, substantially enhancing the technical proficiency of ablation procedures. Meanwhile, minimally invasive interventions improve operational efficiency: on one hand, they reduce patient trauma through minimally invasive or non-invasive approaches, thereby shortening the treatment pathway; on the other hand, the fusion of multi-image and multi-modal data makes treatment more precise and convenient.

Su Yutao, General Manager of Hisense Medical, stated that, on one hand, Hisense’s remote ultrasound solutions address the healthcare needs of county-level regions by breaking down multiple barriers related to geography, transportation, and personnel, effectively bringing tertiary hospital-level services to rural areas and further enhancing the medical service capabilities at the county level. Meanwhile, Hisense Medical is undergoing a strategic transformation from product-centric offerings to comprehensive solutions. By integrating modern department construction concepts with digital technologies and ultrasound-guided interventional techniques, its Digital Minimally Invasive Interventional Department Construction Solution not only expands application scenarios and achieves integration within the ultrasound industry but also pioneers new pathways for such industrial convergence. The promotion of this solution will help improve the service standards of primary healthcare institutions in Huzhou, across Zhejiang Province, and throughout China.
