Grand Gathering of Thousands: The 7th EBC Yimao Biopharma Industry Conference 2022 Successfully Concluded!

This conference focused on hot sectors such as molecular diagnostics, antibody drugs, cell and gene therapy, and mRNA, attracting professionals including entrepreneurs, scientists, clinicians, investors, and suppliers. Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Deng ZixinDelivered a presentation titled"Seizing the High Ground in Pharmaceutical R&D Through Synthetic Biology"Thematic Report. Academician Deng Zixin introduced that the traditional pace of drug development cannot keep up with the myriad crises posed by diseases, and life sciences are at a critical juncture of significant qualitative transformation. Synthetic biology, an integrated scientific discipline spanning from understanding to designing and creating life, will serve as a powerful driver for the integrated development of human health and life sciences.

Dr. Zhenping ZhuAs the moderator, I co-initiated a roundtable forum on “Scientific Innovation and Translation of Achievements” with Academicians Chen Kaixian and Deng Zixin. During the discussion, the three scientists emphasized that innovation remains an enduring theme in the scientific community. In recent years, China’s biomedical industry has achieved remarkable success, driven by deep interactions across government, industry, academia, research, application, and financial services. However, much of this progress has focused on scaling from 1 to 10 and from 10 to 100. Moving forward, it is essential to further streamline the interface between basic research and drug development, and to promote tighter coupling between the R&D chain and the industrial chain. We look forward to collaborative efforts among all stakeholders to propel China’s biopharmaceutical industry into a new era!

2022 EBC Onsite

The 2026 EBC was successfully held at the Suzhou International Expo Center. The exhibition covered a total area of 30,000 square meters and attracted more than 300 exhibitors from home and abroad, showcasing raw materials, consumables, equipment, reagents, services, and other offerings in the bio-industry. Both the scale of exhibitors and the number of attendees reached new highs.
