In the era of the digital and intelligent economy, precision medicine, as a key direction in medical development, has garnered significant attention from the government, the medical community, the scientific and technological sectors, and industry. To promote innovative development in precision medicine, China launched the National Key R&D Program’s special project on “Precision Medicine Research.” Under the guidance of the National Health Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Chinese Medical Association, 16 academician experts completed the 2022 Report on Innovative Research and Industrial Development of Precision Medicine in the Era of Digital Transformation—the first domestic and international report to integrate research with industry. Chen Zhu, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, wrote the preface for the report. Currently, this research achievement has received positive feedback across multiple fields, including policy formulation, research, clinical practice, industry, and investment. In response, the Shanghai Medical Innovation Development Foundation and the Institute of Hospital Management at Tsinghua University have joined forces with the Shanghai Medical Quality Research Center and Yuanmo Health Research Institute to continuously carry out precision medicine research (2022–2023), establish an incubation fund for personalized medicine projects, and develop training courses on precision medicine and innovation empowerment.
